Thank you for this sermon. Judas always seemed to be viewed as one of two images: 1) Unapologetic: a supernatural evil entity; one of the evilest symbols in the medieval version of hell Or 2) Apologetic: a reluctant man consented by God; fully knowing of his actions and the events leading to the Resurrection - - Pastor Doug’s sermon showed, through text, that Judas is yet another lesson for all of us. Judas is not this bestial monstrous entity; nor was he in full knowledge of his actions. He was another human being with free will, who witnessed and believed in the power of Jesus, was given all the authority and love by Jesus, but still a part of him had his eyes on an earthly prize. So many of us declare our love for God but, deep down, are we really giving enough of ourselves? We say we follow Jesus’ teachings or is it all-talk and no action? We should always keep ourselves in check and remember to have faith in a heavenly prize rather than an earthly one. Thanks Pastor Doug for such a thought provoking sermon on a difficult topic!

Yes. As a life long Adventist, I'm being called to major self-examination. Selfishness, covetousness and pride can be so imbeded in our characters but we don't realize its poison because we pride ourselves in being in the "remnant" church regardless. God is revealing to me that church membership is nothing if my life doesn't reflect the love of Christ as seen in 1st Cor 13. Do I have the fruits of God's spirit abiding in me? Those closest to me can answer that better than I. I know I'm not alone. God is calling us, especially in these times, to look deep into our lives and motives. Let Him reveal and heal. Don't doubt the mercies of Christ.

When we are doing the right thing, and get reviled, especially when it's by someone we dont know, it's the evil spirit in that person. The bad spirit in that person knows the spirit of Jesus in us. I understand about family being against us. I come from a very abusive family. It took me a loooong time to grasp the concept that a person's own parent or sibling can bring evil intentionally. One of the things we as humans need to fully grasp, is the fact that evil is all around us. Too many times, we attribute evil deeds people do, to mental illness. It's not mental illness. It's evil.

This speaks to me: many are the times I’ve aligned myself with God for earthly gain and prosperity and when I didn’t get it, I was angry and didn’t think his promises are true. I wanted the best marks at school thinking it would be to His glory, deep down I was wrong. Today I’m praying : Lord Jesus please come into my heart, that I may love you and be a true follower of you.

When God finds you in the cave. Have you seen the lost sheep and coin in the streets and their tents there are many attached by the devil vicious angels even forbid them to go to Church not to worship God in the spirit and truth. But they never separate us from the living God. We worship our God in our car sleeping and eating there in our car. Praise the LORD Jesus who was not found to laid for His head. We shared His suffering glory be to our unique the living God who delivered us from the devil and His vescious angels and reserved us for His heavenly kingdom forever. Amen! Pray without ceasing for us who are abused and victim and buried alive by cruel and wicked ones. Amen!🙏🙏🙏our God heard our prayers and has seen our tears and and heald us. Amen! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

God is never limited to what people do or don't do. No one had to betray Jesus in order for Him to die for our sins. God never desires any to be lost...but He knows what people will choose and the end results.

I've met one. One Mexican man named Judas. I asked if he knew who that was and he said yes. I asked if his Mother knew when she named him. And he said yes. Then why, I asked, did she name you that? He said in Central & South America it's just another name. Tho' he's STILL the only one I ever met.

I think, like now, people underestimate God's capacity to change His mind. (Write it not!) It doesn't have to be predictable but rarely have we surprised God & still it only delays things as they slide back with desires & short memories! I believe there's still a choice but humanity not used to dropping everything & doing total opposite, help each other, clean up, talk, care about each other instead of ourselves

Judas did not Betray Jesus. The Bible explicitly says Judas was possessed by Satan & Christ himself commands Satan directly to work quickly. John 13:27 As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.” Christ is speaking to Satan... The Human Judas regretted his actions, attempted to repent, returned the silver coins, and blamed himself for Christ's Murder. When Christ Decended to the Land of the Dead, he Released all those awaiting His resurrection. Jesus rescued Judas from the grip of Satan. HOW ? Jesus is Jehovah. Thus Judas Obeyed YHWH. For the Father and the Son are One. For Satan has No Power over Christ. Jesus took Judas to Heaven. Well Done Good and Faithful Servant. Well Done !

Hypocritical considering Mr. Batchelor was married before and tries to hide the fact that his first daughter Cheri was conceived out of wedlock. His first wife Karyn is the mother of his 3 children Rachael, Micah and Daniel and he and his current wife act as if they are the parents of all of the children.

I get that it’s disappointing that you hear the mistakes of others especially to those you look up to. However; they are just human and God knows the heart of every man here on earth. A Christian isn’t a follower of others, but Jesus. Besides, even the Bible heroes made terrible and big mistakes in their lives too. Yet despite the mistakes, God forgave them and used them for His better glory.
