Why are y’all so pressed/concerned about how this lady raises her children. She’s a stay at home mom who makes money for her family by entertaining us with her life. Some of y’all have not healed from your childhood traumas and neglect. Let these people live. If you don’t like her way of doing things why are you here watching? Geesh. Alicia girl you rock!

I don't have any foster children or adopted children. But i can imagine that they came from home situations where their parents were absent or didn't have the means to care for them properly. Everytime i see you make the beds and straighten their rooms, i just see the love you give them. You show your love by helping to give them some order in their life, reducing stress for them. Walking into a clean organized space does something for the mind that allows it to relax. I bet it helps tremendously for the healing of the kids. I know people are so judgy, saying the kids can clean their own rooms. But i see you, Momma. I see you loving on them- i see you bringing peace to your family. Every family works differently. You are doing great! 🧡

When I was growing up it was my responsibility to make my bed everyday and keep my room clean and picked up. I didn't once and got in big trouble! I think all the kids are old enough including Bodhi and Harlee to be helping around the house like cleaning up the playroom including laundry. That's just way too much for one person to handle! It also teaches responsibility. Maybe you could hire a laundry service to help out even if it's just through the holidays. Your plate is so full already along with the holiday festivities/ preparation, I'd be more than worn out! Just a thought!

@@lindseyparker5638 you seem like a real lunatic. These kids all have great life skills, especially for their ages. The middles and teens help with the younger kids, James is 15 and can cook meals for 14+ people, Alex knows how to drive a large vehicle. And when they do their chores, they are all doing them on a larger scale.

Childhood is far too short, they have a lifetime of being adults, don't take childhood away from them. They have a chore each, that is a good contribution for any child. Also children who FASD struggle with certain tasks and they also suffer from short term memory issues. All to different degrees of course. They do chores they can do. I struggle making bunk beds, never mind kids!

28:00 Wonderfully said. My beautiful cousin, who was basically my 2nd mother, just couldn't take life anymore and decided to take a permanent vacation. She hated herself and those who made her hate herself. (Not sure if that makes sense.) She should've won an academy award because I NEVER knew she was struggling nor did I even know she had bad people in her life. To anyone who is struggling from hate, sadness, etc, please don't give up on yourself. I hope I'm not being all about myself. It's just the advice Alicia gave to us is something I wish I gave to my cousin. Whoever read this novel, thank you for putting up with it. (And I'm in no way looking for sympathy. I just felt that my story can resonate a bit with the sentiments Alicia said.)🖤

You have EVERY right to comment whatever you need too! And I am sure Alicia would agree. She gets so much negativity, she is a pro at dealing with it. She is also very intune with the universe, IMHO. She knows about putting positive thoughts & energy out into the world/universe and how that will manifest and bring the same back to you. You cannot dwell on the negative stuff out there and let it effect you because that will leed you to attracting more negativity. It is so TRUE.. Even astrophysicists have figured out this through studying quantum physics. If you are interested look up Quantum Entanglement. Its fasinating!

😞 sorry for your loss. I've been trying to help my daughter who is 18 to try an reset her mind and thinking. But I know it's not that simple and is a long process but I love her no matter what she is dealing with I just wish I could fix all the things that makes her not want to be here. She is still here thank goodness an I pray she stays here in this world with me everyday an the negative thoughts don't win.

So sorry for your loss. I completely understand your aunts feelings of hatred towards those who made her hate herself. It makes complete sense, and it’s so far from you making something about you. A valuable message to all who read it. Hatred is a burden, but it’s almost always because the person who hates was burdened. Not by choice. Positive mantras are good for chasing them mental monsters away. But I’m sure it went much deeper than just a positive outlook for your beloved cousin/second mom.

I don't mean this negatively at all because I think so highly of all that you do for your family, but please do adjust your toilet cleaning process. Top (fewer germs) to bottom (more germs), outside to inside (most germs). Seat and then bowl should be last and then paper towel thrown away. Otherwise you are carrying fecal germs to the flushing handle, the walls, etc. Take care and have a wonderful day!!

I think your kids are old enough to make their own beds in the morning. I know they get up early but it teaches them how to become good adults honestly and I think they can put their dirty laundry in a hamper. Also think about when you're cleaning wipe the sink and stuff first before you do the toilet. The toilet should be a totally separate rag. Even if you're using paper towels a new paper towel. Just a good FYI.

I have Nannied for over 28 years. When I nannied for one family, I would find toothpaste in the oddest locations, like inside the fridge! I remember sitting all 6 kids down and saying, "You guys know the House rules your Mommy and Daddy have. You can have snacks, but you need to ask first and more importantly, you need to make sure you do not have toothpaste on your hands!" They all said, "Okay!" Then I found toothpaste all over the trashcan that holds all of your trash until the trash truck comes to pick it up. Some toothpastes will not come off without a fight! I confiscated all the toothpaste after that. The kids had to come to me to get toothpaste on their toothbrushes, per the parents wishes. 😂😅🙄🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️😉 Kids do the darndest things. They can drive you to tears, laughter and insanity. Each kid is still worth every second of the craziness!

You should teach your children to clean up after themselves. They will grow up and lack discipline in themselves to clean up. 😉
