Man, im born and raised in San Francisco, this man is well respected in San Francisco. At a point in time San Francisco was a straight war zone but you never would have thought that because the city had this aura of being a vacation destination cable cars and the Golden gate Bridge, but don't get it twisted, you go to a certain part of the city and it could've been curtains for you, if you didn't watch out. I grew up in the Bayview and rarely ever sent into Hunter's Point in the 1980s. It was legitimately scary to think of going up there. Bayview area where the homes are were crazy too but just not as nuts.

Errrray! Lakeview Lunatic Village Randolph Street Fogtown on mines! The funk between Lakeview vs Sunnydale lasted hella longer than Sunnydale vs Hunter's Point. Sunnydale vs Hunters Point got really bad in 89' with the Cheap Charlie Massacre. To this day, people occassionally still get murked over Sunnydale vs Lakeview bullshit even though Lakeview is hella gentrified now and 200% safer than it was in the late 80's and early 90's.

There was always Asians and college kids in Lakeview even back in the 80's and 90's. LV was always a diverse hood, it just used to be predominantly black and not by much. The hood was just like how Boobie described it. The View was just like the Point in the fact that it struck fear into the hearts of outsiders, but it was cool of you was from there for the most part unless you were in the game or mobbin. And I know 200 Block still standing on Randolph Street. I ain't lived in the city for hella years but I know that much, potna.

From what I have been told the conflict between Sunnydale and Hunter's Point is over dudes getting at the ladies of each other's neighborhood. No one likes for their females to be snatched by men from another area. That being said, it transitioned into turf war over drug sales. Cold part about that is when HP/Bayview went to war amongst themselves over control of the corners.

In more ways than one, Hunter's Point was the worst hood in the Bay, period. All of them old ass projects were military barracks designed to only be used as housing for a few years back in the 40's. Hella projects in Hunter's Point ranked as some of the most unlivable projects in the country. HP had the highest infant mortality rate in the entire state of California... Because HP was sitting on the biggest toxic waste dump in the entire state. As much as 50% of all homicides for the entire city of SF occurred in HP in any given year and HP is only 5% of SF's population.
