The lights just need some new fuses but if a cop sees you out there after dark they will kick you out.

seems like a tough skatepark to skate, not sure why certain things are the way they are, but what to do, at least it's something with obstacles to try tricks on

Parks like this happen when people who don't skate try to build skate parks.

A metalworker like myself looks at a lot of that and thinks "That's an easy fix to make those ledges smooth, make transitions for the ramps, fix the fun box, etc"...I'm literally unemployed with mobile welding gear, but I'm in Minnesota, so there's no way I could get down there to refurbish things...I kinda wish someone would start a non-profit charity that could go around fixing skate parks, as most of them would only take a couple people with skills maybe a week of work to completely resurrect the park without spending much money...

It's definitely needed, especially for the remaining prefab parks that are sitting and getting worse bc the ramp manufacturers no longer exist. It's a brilliant idea honestly.

Maybe one day the city will take notice, but I wouldn’t put money on it /:

I hope so! I wouldnt either tbh. It's unfortunate that the skate scene is dying in Douglas bc of the lack of care for the park and there aren't any businesses in the town to cultivate any kind of skate community. No skate shop. Nothing.
