D'ville is a lot bigger than it seems. You skipped the Hwy 5 side of town completely, and there is a decent-sized mall just over the hill from the hospital - if you had turned left onto Campbellton St, and followed it across I-20 (where it turns into Chapel Hill Rd) you go right past it.

You probably need to know this is old Douglasville. This is where the courthouse, police, post office, tag office, banks, restaurants, hardware store and high school were located when the population was under 60,000. If you're interested in what your drive would really be like, you'd wanna drive Hwy 5, Douglas Blvd and Fairburn Rd primarily. I sure hope you're not expecting traffic to be this light. If you plan to get on the interstate, be prepared for a lot of sitting still. I've lived here so long, I remember when traffic was always like this video, any time of the day. I sure miss that!

You can run to any state you want, and will have the same issues, can’t ultimately run from yourself. 8th largest state by population and 7th largest metro for a reason, so your alleged opinion is obviously a minority. Many are moving to GA, I’m from the DMV area originally.
