My mom is 85. She listens to her TV in her bedroom with headphones. She's been complaining lately of "muffled" voices, (probably some hearing loss). Her hearing really isn't bad, but I've given her a few pair of headphones to try, and she still has some issues hearing some voices. So I'm thinking it's not a better pair of headphones she needs, just ability to control (and or boost) tone. I was thinking perhaps, a device like this might be the thing, to allow her to make out the voices more clearly. I like what you said at 7:56 about "vocals". So hopefully this device might help. And it won't kill the wallet to experiment with it. thanks for the review.

Hey, you may try this little device, not sure of the cost, but maybe something more suited towards headphones(headphone amp) would work. This also has some tone controls, she wouldn't have all of the bands, but this has a loudness button and I think you/she may be able to use the tone controls and the other options it has, to help find a happy medium. kzbin.info/www/bejne/annEp4dsgZyIZ6Msi=8BDoRNDCSq_JBDZz You could also check CheapAudioMans other videos on headphones preamps and you might find some better options. Back to the EQ, there are a few different listings from the company for it, sort by lowest price, mine was under $50. For the price though it's actually a nice little eq, so even if you just wanted to mess with it, as you said, it's cheap enough.

Yeah I LOVE that unit. I use two of them in my little low budget music studio. I run my vocals through that EQ, an old MIDIverb 2, and a Scarlett 18i20. Great little rig.

I think I might like the overall sound of it over the 7band tube eq Douk has for almost 3 times the price lol.

Can you suggest me a amplifier for 2x260w(8ohm) subwoofer, 2x360w (6ohm) speaker and 2x180w(12ohm) speaker?

I need more information. What kind of system is this? Why all of the random ohm load paired drivers? Some sort of home theatre setup or?

Hi, thanks for your video. Could you confirm that you can decrease or increase the frequencies ? The graduate numbers around each knob go 0 to 10 on this device. Like this, it seems you can just adjust 0 to +10db. Or the 5 number at the top of the knob is the zero level. Then you can adjust -5db (0 on the knob) to +5db (10 on the knob). Can you help me on that ? Thanks

hi great video . I am looking for a EQ to cut down the bass as its to over powering . Its totaly my own fault , I purchased a newer bigger speaker .I had Dynaudio Emit 10 But just upgraded to Emit 20 s wrong move. So back to the point do you think this will be suitable to cut down my bass . If you could find the time to get back to me i would appreciate it. Many thanks gerald South Wales UK

Theoretically it should be able to cut down some low end bass frequencies. Although I'm not sure how variable the 50hz knob is, I'm sure it dips down to 20hz. If you're able too, get on Ebay and look for a used Schiit Audio Loki 4 band eq. It has crazy variable range starting AT 20hz and up.

Chinese made junk. The fact that it doesn't have a proper power cord shows it is low quality.
