When you guys get someone like this (aka GENIUS) on your show the time just flies by. This guy... WOW! Talk about taking it to the next level. I wanted to convert an enlarger to use with Wet Plate Collodion, and thought about using a UV Lamp in the enlarger... glad I didn't now as this sounds almost like rocket science to get it right. Really wish Douwe would make an enlarger "kit" - (Kickstarter...?) I would definitely be first in the list to buy it. So useful for All alternative processes, TinType, Glass Collodion, etc, etc. The list is endless. I had to download and listen to this whole episode twice just to grasp the details Douwe delved into. This guy is a true innovator. He has actually uncovered something far more than just just talking cameras. He has taken photography into a completely independent activity that does not rely on expensive paper, chemicals, plastic, etc. If you keep an archive of people and episodes that have 'made a difference' in the resurgence of photography - this is your man :) In summary BRILLIANT!

Where can I get one of those emitters? This was a cool episode. Check out "Lens-work for amateurs" by Henry Orford (p69-82) and an old magazine series called "Work". A Roller-Blind Instantaneous Shutter by W.E.B., pp 774-776, Jan 31, 1891. The latter is on HMC's flickr page.

You'll have to ask the supplier to put it on a copper PCB
