Dove Cameron (Mal) - If Only Reprise | Descendants 1 and 2 [Deleted Scene]

I wish they added the reprise of If Only in the second movie, feels like it would fit perfectly in that moment. Especially since Mal was going through so much in the second movie, this song would really just allow us to know how she was feeling. I keep on saying this on all my Descendants post but the second one really was the best. The third one really did let me down, and it’s not like it had the best songs to make up for it. I guess they just ran out of ideas by the third one but really wanted to make a third movie. Reminds me of The Cheetah Girls, except with TCG, Raven wasn’t in the third movie so it was understandable. But there really was no excuse for why Descendants wasn’t as good. Especially with the premise of the movie, there were so many things they could have done. When I start my KZbin Channel, I’m definitely going to be talking about how I would write Descendants 3. Because that is a topic I just can’t get over as you guys can see. One of the things I would want is a bigger focus on the side characters. By the end of Descendants 2, Mal already had a perfect development, why make it feel like the Mal movie when every character needed closure. Specifically for Jay and Carlos, they barely did anything in the third movie. Even though it has always been Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos, so I don’t understand why they were pushed aside. At least in Descendants 2 they had their B Plot where Carlos was trying to ask out Jane and Jay was helping Lonnie. They sorta had that in D3 but their “storylines” were so insignificant tbh

Don't forget how we were introduced to 4 new VKS well 3 cause we was already introduced ti Dizzy in Descendants 2 when Mal returned to.the Isle Of The Lost. But in D3 we were also introduced to Squirmy and Squeaky amd Celia Freddie's sister amd Dr. Facilier youngest. I feel like the new four could have had a bigger story line and development than what we got and all. Especially with Dizzy and the twins. There was some things I felt like that could have been different and not added like how they barely gave Jay and Carlos a part in the main plot amd also if the third installment was focused on the new 4 VKs and Audrey I feel like we could have had a better story developelment and all for them. We see Celia mainly and I know the others was spelled but I feel like after the spell was lifted we could have seen more. These are my thoughts I thought it was great overall but here is my thoughts on the new 3 VKs and dizzy and the original four.

I think the third one was okay for what it was yet it was the pacing of it k didnt like the thrid one seemd like the story and the film itself was running too fast like it wanted to end asap. The first two seemed like the story and movies took their time with the pacing

I completely agree, Descendants 3 was very underwhelming. The song Queen of Mean is the only thing I truly enjoyed from it, it’s very emotional for me and I feel the passion deeply. My favorite from any Descendants movie, but other than that, everything about the first two movies are better. I was so disappointed by the 3rd, I also feel Audrey as a villain was a good idea, but bad execution, maybe she should’ve teamed up with Uma or something
