I am one of the lucky ones that had a father who was actually quite progressive (he actually enjoyed cooking for his family), had good moral values and tried to teach my brothers how to respect their mother and sisters, was the first to take his kids to school events, took his daughter's bowling and bought them skateboards (in those days only boys were supposed to enjoy skateboarding), and was truly a man's man. He worked very hard to support his household and had no problem with respecting my mother's wishes to stay home to raise her children. He was a good man and great role model as a father and an incredible grandfather to my son. I still miss him even after all these years. :(

I’ve been on the high path to avoid the floods, the low path to avoid the sun, the this path, that path, and the other path. So many paths I thought maybe they’d converge into a thing and I’d be in a place I should be. 😅 It’s okay. It’s the middle. I get it. Just trying to navigate my way to that place. But Paul, maybe you have some insight. I keep coming up with hearts in everything I touch from pancake batter, to meats to the way fabric falls on the floor. It’s so often I can’t not notice them. I was headed after the prize to at least get the Quartus piece of paper out of the way, maybe even find a job, but a narrow job description. But in the world of systems there are always blockages, and again found mine, but this time found many related and similar avenues. And what's the Quartus without sensors, bash, vhdl and verilog mastery, linux, github, videos, product management and what have you. So I'm even busier now but can see it start to fit together. Seems the more I relax and enjoy the more productive it will be. And skimming things over is not my thing anymore, not that I regret it necessarily.
