Thank you Paul. This helped. You know how you know your getting there, you know you have been doing your best, then out of the blue another obstacle hits out of the blue. Normally something when it's to late in the day, or on a weekend and you have no one to get ahold of. In this case a new law passed in 2021 that we didn't know about until late last night and have until January 1st to get this done, so you stress all night and the people you need to talk to for help don't open until 11 ya. That's the kind of stuff that almost makes me just quit sometimes. It's like every time you know your about there, we have a big show we are part of this weekend, then this it's like you want to just scream at the air. So you have to stop stand back when your done freaking and stressing out and just take a deep breath and get your head straight, because you already know what's on the other path of just giving up and quitting. YES , the mystery card is perfect. I've been working soooo hard on my assertiveness. I HAVE A VERY HARD TIME AND QUESTION MYSELF ALWAYS IN encounters with people who are possibly/likely taking advantage of my niceness. I can do it, but I always question myself whether someone will think I'm just being a biotch. I just used my assertiveness several times this morning with contractors. Man, I had to do a lot of slow deep breathing and got through it showing strength and calmness outwardly, but was a nervous wreck inside. It is a practice I'm learning. I'm sure it will get easier with time. Hard to boss up when you are a sweet natured elderly woman surrounded with a bunch of macho guys in their egos. It DID feel like the right thing to do in the end. It needed to be done, and in the end I don't care WHAT they think, I care what I think about how I handled it. Sorry to say but I feel contractors will get away with doing things the easiest, cheapest, quickest way they can, and give you the level of workmanship you accept.

I changed jobs from a licensed healthcare advisor to a clerk at a convenience store! Got sick of being a remote worker at a seasonal job. This job at 711 is less than 20 hrs a week.
