I’m starting my Freshman Year in August 2019, & the elevator in the Freshman Center has a key-card scanner. You need your badge to access the elevator.

My school has what appears to be a Dover elevator. I've never seen the interior up close; there's no buttons, as it's a key operated system reserved strictly for students who are hard of mobility. (and teachers with carts of stuff)

Might be the loudest motor I’ve heard on an elevator. Imagine if there was a classroom right next to that! Sure would annoy the students. My high school had a hydraulic elevator that shared a wall with 3 classrooms. (I believe it was a ThyssenKrupp from 2015, with the MAD BS vandal resistant stainless fixtures with the blue halo.) Every time someone rode it upstairs, the wall on that side of the classrooms would go vvvvvvvv. Kinda annoying but still epic in a sense. That one was key-carded, and only staff and disabled students could use it, though I did ride it a few times with staff because we happened to be going to the same place. Elementary school had a 2001-ish Otis series 1 hydraulic. Not key-carded, but still off limits. Pretty standard little elevator, but for some reason we had floors 1 2 3 and an attic, but the elevator was labeled Ground, 1, 2, and 3. Needless to say, it was extremely common for staff to end up in the attic, and I ended up in the attic once with a teacher accidentally.😂 Middle school had an 80s US hydraulic with a physical key to use it. Circle buttons if I recall correctly.

well no. Theses are not Dover and they are not Montgomery r Kone. They are innovation. On most montgomery and kone they use innovation. like even on the Montgomery how they mostly use innovation its not really the Montomery fixtures like everyone thinks.

@patricknedz Never mind. Got a look while the door jammed last week. The interior is identical to this elevator (floor indicators and everything, save for square buttons), making it a Dover. I have a sneaking suspiscion that it will be modernized over summer vacation, but since my school district is the king of budget cuts, I doubt that will happen.

At some point, Montgomery (or Montgomery KONE) got their hands on this elevator. The hall buttons, panel, floor passing chimes, and bells are Montgomery. The only thing they kept was the floor indicator and Dover logo. Interesting...

@patricknedz Nope. Single speed, one piece stainless steel sliding door. The key is only necessary to call the elevator and enter; there are buttons on the inside.
