It's Ya165 will do sound mods for both class 390 and class350 and they will be 100% way better this is why PC is the way to go with any TSW era also we can do DX12 and custom engine settings

It's honestly ridiculous that the WCML is releasing the way that it is. I do feel bad for the UK players. It's usually us Americans that get screwed by Dovetail but I guess we got lucky this time. The Bakerloo line timetable is accurate but the Lioness Line is supposed to have around 144 services. Trains run every 15 minutes. I'm not exactly sure the number of depot moves are. 65 playable services is a joke The 350 consists are completely inaccurate. Class 350's run 8 car services. I don’t understand why DTG allowed Rivet to make this route. They have a poor reputation for making low quality addons. Modeling of Stations and their trains are good but other than that, their routes for the most part are terrible and they hardly go back and make the necessary improvements. This game is advertised as an authentic simulator. DTG are the ones that set the expectations. This isn't advertised as an arcade game. It was DTG who hyped the timetable of the Lioness Line only for it to be completely inaccurate. DTG are charging $30-$40 for routes so I agree that we have every right as customers to demand consistent quality and if they don't deliver, we should call them out on it and tell it like it is. If the constructive criticism hurts devs feelings, then that is not our problem. People shouldn't attack individual employees though. This game has been out for 7 years. We shouldn't be getting routes with poor quality. It's not the customers fault that Rivet for example have a reputation for making poor quality content. That was caused by them and their refusal to go back and make major improvements to their work This mess could've easily been avoided and as you have said feels like NY-Trenton 2.0. Since I have Xbox Gamepass, I don’t have to pay for any of the TSW 5 core routes so I will be getting this route for free. But if I didn’t have gamepass, I wouldn’t buy this route at all.

I would like to also see my local line in TSW5, which is a route that can take up to 2hrs on one branch and up to 1hr 40 minutes on another, this route is the Exmouth - Paignton and Barnstaple route, part of this route is also available on TS Classic on the Riviera line from Exeter St David's to Paignton, the entire route is full of request stops so you don't actually have to stop at, these are Lympstone Commando, Exton, Newton St Cyres, Yeoford, Morchard Road, Lapford, King Nympton, Portsmouth Arms, Umberleigh and Chapleton, this route should be set in 2017, and It would include the following trains: Class 143, 150/1, Class 800, Class 802 & Class 221 Super Voyager, the operators would be GWR and Crosscountry trains, SWT another subsiduary of Stagecoach like EMT, could also make an appearance operating services with the class 158 & 159 on the section between Exeter New Yard & Exmouth Junction, the route could possibly go to Axminster for realism & longer use for 158 and 159.

I am slightly regretting buying Deluxe now, I’ll admit. Once again I think it’s a case of management rushing the devs, but I could be wrong. I’m not too experienced with the WCML south of Birmingham, so when i read the forum post my only gripe was the lack of Neutral Sections, and I probably would have taken some kind of umbridge to the lighting too had I have read it properly. To hear these issues highlighted is honestly refreshing and I fully support it. I want to be optimistic, I want to like DTGs work, and to some extent I do, but seeing the good in them blindly as I used to has been a challenge over the last few years

If there is something that should hopefully cheer us up, is that Just Trains released a new update section on their website about the WCML: Preston-Carlisle (aka: WCML Shap) with some more images, and man, don't they look great. Even if WCML South is a complete disaster, we can enjoy the WCML Preston-Carlisle, of course I can't wait for that one!

Wow... I don't even know what to say. Thanks for translating the update into brass tacks. I guess I am glad they are listening, but it will take more than spot patches to really recover from all this. As for Rivet, I think they are nice people and I appreciate the Swiss routes quite a bit. I know they have a reputation but I have seen them trying -- without arrogance, which is more than I can say about DTG.

it'll only flop if people don't buy either editions and just go for the free one. As for Rivet being involved the only way forward DTG can go is by cutting ties with Rivet completely, especially after all the subpar Austria stuff let alone the UK stuff they've already released in both TSW and TSC that's had mods just to make it worth while.

"Please choose wisely how you action those thoughts". Indeed. I bought TSW4 on discount and will update to TSW5, and since I'm Dutch I anticipate the Zwolle-Groningen line. I hope they have a better release for that one. I also have a collection of routes for TSC such as WCML (they upgraded that one), and recently bought the Northampton loop (from alanthomsonsim) and a sound upgrade for the Pendolino. I think that is better money spent in my case. There is a lot of free community stuff for TSC (considering its history). I also find the scenarioplanner in TSC a lot better than how that works in TSW. Perhaps it will be improved in future TSW releases, but I don't have high expectations in the short term.

Hopefully in the future, a way around the branding will be to allow customisable branding, so we can just load the logos in ourselves. It would save all this issue and the time wasted on it in the future.

Can this game flop, please, so we can stop having this crappie stuff, and they actually put in work and stop rushing to make new games. WCML is literally NY to Trenton. A very requested route is getting destroyed by dovetail. Dovetail is literally starting to lack with their own home routes. It's an issue. It's not even about the US content being dealt a worse hand anymore. They are actually violating everyone lol.

Class 710 services over a 17 hour period works out about 68 if they start around 6am to 11pm. So we are only missing about 4 services.

The period of time between early release and general release (with 10% discount) will be crucial to my purchasing decision. Real-world reviews will roll in, so then we'll know. If it isn't up to scratch, my thinking is to get the free upgrade and defer WCML South, but definitely get Preston to Carlisle when it comes out.

Hey Dovetail games, I pre ordered train sim world 5 just yesterday as train sim world has been announced so I pre ordered it and I pre ordered the Standard Edition which is releasing 17th of September and I checked on my library on ps4 the standards edition, I pre ordered yesterday and I can’t find it on PlayStation store Would I have to wait for train sim world 5 I pre ordered do I need to wait until it is released on 17th of September I did try and look at the Editions for train sim world 5 and I looked at standard Edition but it wasn’t there which means I pre ordered but I can’t see it for some reason it said deluxe and special you can pre order for train sim world 5 but because I already pre ordered train sim world 5 The standard Edition which is on ps4 I clicked on it but, when I clicked on it for a reason it’s saying the product/game it’s unavailable for purchase as you only ordered it but I can’t see it in my Library Please if you could kindly get back to me and tell me what the solution is I would very appreciative!

I don’t understand how the new games releases have the same repeated problems. I can give them slack with new features being not perfect. But they seem to repeat previous mistakes. WCML - lighting looks terrible. Flying cars etc. fortunately I have solved my dilemma with dealing with this… TSW3 (I think) brought out the UE update. It seemed to produce stutters. I stopped playing for a year or so as that annoyed me so much. Now, I come back and pick up the (what would have been) latest release for pennies on sale. A year later. can keep adding routes as I get the “new” ones a year or so late for discounted prices. As there are few massive jumps between releases, I don’t care that I’m not playing the latest. I still get new content regularly when on sale. I really want the Fife Circle DalC. But i still have so much gameplay from previous dlc e.g. Cathcart that I can wait till it is discounted. I am saying this for two reasons. One to suggest the same to others. And secondly, to Dovetail, you will get more money if you release a finished product. I want you to succeed. But the sloppiness I see in the releases is just incomprehensible to me.

In order to run it, you need either Boston Sprinter' Providence - Boston or NEC New York - Trenton. I recommend getting Boston Sprinter as NY to Trenton is still an absolute disaster of a route 1 and a half years after.

@@schoc13 I have never played on Xbox but to my knowledge I'm pretty sure its on both platforms. For now the current title is under TSW4 Compatible: Northeast Corridor Boston - Providence. Even when TSW5 and inevitable 6, 7 and so on come out, you should still have acess to that route. The reason its listed under TSW3 is because that was when an update to the route came out in the TSW3 era also the same time the Acela was added. In reality it came out during the TSW2 era.
