My grandmother could really sing. Her father did not think it was a real career but she was good.On her 93rd birthday we were having dinner out and she was talking about singing a concert, and our waitress tomd her she should just sing it. So she sang Memories. And from her it was totally different. Wistful, sad, haunting. I am biased, but the entire restaurant did give her a standing ovation. Consider she started singing over kitchen sounds, front of house sounds, etc. No mic, acapella. Before she was singing the chorus the place went silent. That's when I knew I was right and she was talented. Her version is how it should be done, really. One of my favourite Memories...

She brought beautiful vocal control and original phrasing to a very tough song. I hope and pray that the only reason the crowd was lifeless and ungrateful was because Gracie's mic wasn't doing its job. She was, though - really, she was BRINGIN' IT ! Soulful and original. Wow.

@@parobg well, today's society makes me sick to my stomach. No common sense, definitely no brains , the drugs, the fruitcakes, the trans mental cases, most corrupt government ever. All they want to do is destroy everything that we've ever cherished. They could be stopped permanently with just a little effort. They're too ignorant to see what's happening today. I just get overwhelmed when I see even something as frivolous as this clip and how people bow to something that is absolutely nothing like this clip. Pink Floyd said it best in 1979 when they said, all in all we're just a-nother brick in the wall, as kids marched in a line to their doom as they dropped into a meat grinder and turned into hamburger. That's exactly where we are today. And the demoncrats just lick their chops as they watch us one by one turn into obedient zombies. Read all the comments here in this clip alone to see proof. One person says something equivalent of putting these two on a pedestal and dozens and dozens more follow suit. Playing follow the leader. Young people today are extremely sick and brainwashed.

To be fair, the family or group had every right to want to enjoy their meal. To engage them in extended dialog was rude and most entertainers know better than to do that in a restaurant setting; that kind of thing is what you find in an evening/bar/pub. The music is wonderful and they are free to enjoy it with whatever emotion they like. Maybe like they said they were leaving that day and needed to have a quick meal to catch a plane or something.
@Idgjy
@Idgjy Жыл бұрын
@@jansmith3613 It would have taken 30 seconds, or less, to show appreciation. The entertainers were not looking for extended dialog. A few kinds words of acknowledgment would have been sufficient.
