Planning to go Leh without any travel agent and rent a Taxi from Leh for Nubra and Pangong- the questions are 1. Can the driver act as an travel agent and take permit for us? 2. If not then can you suggest a travel agency who will only help me get the permit ? What would be the reasonable price for that service? 3. Do the hotels usually provide help to get the permits ? 4. How long it takes to get the permit from DC office or from website? 5. I’ll be staying one day idle at Leh for acclimatization on Saturday or Sunday, are the office open on Saturday and Sunday?

Driver will mostly help you get through the process and get it done either himself or thru agent he may work with usually. No worries here. Very trivial process. 2. it will be touch and go because what they will see is that you are going to roam for 6 days instead of 5 days payment you did.. so 50:50 chance depending on the mood of the person.. better go in person to DC office on 4th and pay for one day Rs 20 wildlife fee, try that option and have them write you are allowed else you will leave it to 50-50 chance on 5th at checkpost person mood

If you are carrying printouts then carry about 5-6 copies else soft copy in phone is OK. And yes, you should carry all bike documents in original.. copies are not required as you will show the originals.

You need to follow the same process as a foreigner as I explained in the video. Umling La is not allowed for foreginers yet as far as I know. However, they can visit Hanle and stay overnight now.

Road travel doesn't help in acclimatisation means, the Initial period of rest should not be replaced with road travel as it also comes under exertion. that's what I understood.

I am sorry if you misunderstood but what I mean is Road Travel from Srinagar to Leh and Manali to Leh will help in acclimatization but if you are flying to Leh then you should rest in Leh without much road travel as it causes exertion. October mein kaafi thandda hoga lake par anyways, Srinagar to Kargil Kargil to Leh Leh rest day Leh to Nubra Nubra to Pangong Pangong to Leh.

What is the validity period of environment fee. How many day in advance we can apply for it

I think max you can apply Wildlife fee as domestic period for 21 days continuous, then you need to renew it. However, the Environment Fee component of Rs 300 is valid for the entire year. So when you renew it beyond 21 days, you I think system charges Rs 1 only for Environment fee what I have seen if you use the same details. I think you can book them any number of days in advance or even upon reaching Manali or Srinagar too.

However, this time the system will automatically show that you have already paid the environment fee of rs300 which is valid for one year. So, you will only need to pay Rs 20 per day per person wildlife fund fee for the new dates in September.

Do we have to pay environmental fee, if we are travelling from Srinagar-Kargil-Rangdum-Padum-Purne. After Purne, we will travel back to Srinagar on the same route. And also Is june month is suitable for this road??

No need to pay for Environment Fee for that route. Well better take the other route on the way back from PAdum to Sirsirla - Singey La - Lamayuru - Kargil - Srinagar. This way you can explore other route too. Yes you can do that by applying for the dates from June 19 to 21 too. You only need to pay Rs 20 per day per person because the environment fee is applicable for the whole year as long as you will use the your same photo ID number and personal details, the system will not recharge you the environment fees

Bhai aap le jaa sakte ho.... kabhi kabhi personal bike ki checking karte hain.. rules k hisaab se kisi aise rishtedaar ki gaadi ya bike honi chahiye jiska surname same ho ya jiske saath relationship prove kar sako jaise father, mother, wife, brother, etc.. par ye tabhi apply hoga jab koi agar aapko rokega to, nahin to personal number plate ki gaadiyaan ya bike jyada rokte nahin hain! ruke to araam se aap samjhaane ki koshish karna ki personal bike hai.. aap ek NOC carry kar sakte ho apne saath.. Why are Indians supposed to pay extra to travel within India, whereas other Indians who belong to ladakh can roam around freely without paying anything extra. Do we ask them to pay anything when they arrive in other states to study or travel? Instead, the government is providing them with subsidies with the lakes of Rs that we pay for tax each year. This is severe discrimination, and it must be stopped.
