Cuz, beautiful post of our beautiful Corentyne area. I never knew that the Corentyne river determined if Surinam or Guyana own the land. Beautiful history and funny story with the cattle receipt. Happy Saturday 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾

Port Mourant market is one of the largest in Guyana open 7 days. It is very colorful. Quarter mile towards the north is the Racetrack. Port Mourant is the birthplace of the late President Dr. Jagan. Famous for many crickers Rohan Kanhai, Basil Butcher, Joe Solomon, the Kalicharan’s Brothers, Randolph Ramnarace, Ivan Madray, John Trim etc. Also, one of the world-famous attorneys Sir Lionel Luckhoo was also born here. There are many primaries' schools, high schools especially JC Chandisingh opened 1938, UG campus, Port Mourant Hospital, National Ophthalmology Hospital, Dispensary, Guysuco training center. Port Mourant got its name from the Proprietor Stephen Mourant who sold it in the early 1800 century. It has about 15 villages one of them “Bound Yard“ was the home of the indentured laborers. I was born in Port Mourant during the struggles - early 80's was sad. My mom used to sell isosceles/ice-blocks/soda. She saved enough to bring us all to America lol. I enjoy this video. Thank You for sharing.
