Rodney Franklin is a treasure. He does not get talked about as much as his peers, he's a prolific musician under the radar...but they play his music on Jazz radio all the time.

He's also what most would consider a musical prodigy. A talent beyond most...surely not easy to manage that gift at such a young age in the music industry.

One of the best jazz keyboardists! When only 22 years old he placed 2 albums on first place of Hit Parade, both Grammy Award winners and with the hit The Groove millions of copies sold out!

Wow----what a rare treat to hear the magnificent Rodney Franklin speak and play. He is a major talent who sadly seems to have been sidelined after the early 90s, but has a wonderful back catalogue that is starting to find its way onto CD. Skydance from 1985 is my personal favorite. Rodney you are sounding great today!

Rod is the king of jazz grooves It was only until Aug , 1986 Columbia released the single Look what's showing through feat Brenda Russell who would become successful two yrs later with her single Piano in the Dark. Rod is very talented as an pianist for Fender Rhodes and The Groove continues to be that "Groove".

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is fantastic! I have wondered what ever happened to Rodney Franklin and I have been trying to track him because he is one of my favorite jazz keyboard artists. Now here he is live, well and in rare form. This is absolutely awesome!.

Great to see Rodney. He is a remarkable talent that I'll never forget. Whenever I dig back in the stacks (or whatever the you call the KZbin equivalent) I usually end up playing him "Felix" and "You'll Never Know" are two of my favorites.
