I thought paperboys went extinct, I am seriously loving this soundtrack. It brings up the hair on the back of your neck and really keeps the pace going. Music can make or break a film and you made a great choice.

We are basically just a small group of friends who wanted to go out and make a fun little movie, and we had a blast doing so. Haven’t watched it yet but for the fact that the crew has even stated that they made it with a group of friends and was mainly for fun, I give that a huge thumbs up. I absolutely LOVE this little Indie gem! I get so very tired of the many distracting and discouraging agendas pushed in big Hollywood films, and this is much more than the occasional breath of fresh air with its interesting story, intriguing mystery, and true message of love and friendship, all topped off with surprisingly excellent acting. I was impressed with the authenticity of the whole package, and I would LOVE to see this kind of movie get real attention...give the public a real alternative to Hollywood. "A greater love hath no man than this; than to lay down his life for his friends..." or something like that. The compassion throughout was a beautiful thing, and it is good to be reminded sometimes of the tender side of humanity. There is so much more to life than building up material things. So much finer to value the lasting treasures of the temporal world. *Highly recommend!*

This gem found me on KZbin - this film needs to be entered in a film festival or two. Great combination of suspense and the mysterious, mystical woods, the acting is decent, cinematography is well above average, and an original story with interesting twists. Will be viewing this one again!

Incredible movie. This came up for me out of the blue, and I was intrigued. Everything about this movie is just right; writing, plot, characters/actors, cinematography. If this was your first attempt at a movie, it is nearly a block buster! Some of the acting was a little stiff, don't shine a light into the camera, EVER, but I was glued to this all the way to the credits! Bravo!

In my personal opinion, I found this production is remarkable, if compared to the big budget films....I am applauding for the writing of the story and chosen of location to be executed! All the team has remarkably put the whole story very well executed too! Applause and congrats for the good work!

This is a very good film. Towering trees create a tunnel shrouded in heavy fog enticing all to want to know what is beyond. I was captivated by the woods and what mystery they held. The music is beautiful and eerie. The poignant ending, wow. I couldn't yearn for a better film which drew me in from its opening to its ending.

Our school sent us two movies to review, but I chose to watch *Down the Road* and I’m so glad I did! Everything about this movie is amazing: the scenes, the characters, the videography everything was done so well. What really stood out for me was how it ended on a mystery note. I love mystery films because they keep you thinking long after the movie is over. Unlike regular endings, mysteries leave you imagining different possibilities and scenarios, and *Down the Road* does exactly that. It’s been on my mind ever since I finished it, and I can’t stop thinking of alternate endings and what could’ve happened. This was such a thought-provoking and engaging watch.

Makes my imagination wander ... I thought something other worldly was in the woods and whatever is lost in there, it keeps but if people on this side keep looking with the intent to find, it releases. The key message I got was society should not ignore or accept people simply listed as 'missing persons' but keep looking to find these real people taken from us. Many are fortunate they have someone who insist on looking but many do not and the case goes cold.

Now up until 6:43, I think the director did well at puttin a variety of visual images in sequence, goin from closeups to wider shots, etc.. That seems to have been well done, so far. The silhouette, the highlight on the woman's face, the front view of the binoculars, the tape, the headlights comin, et cetera, et cetera.. He/she, too, seems to have a knack. Also the woman playin the cop sounds very professionelle. I would rate her as a very good character actresse.

OK, why didn’t they tell the detective about someone/something taking the walky-talky off the remote truck? And, the picture being sucked into the woods? And, the recording on the UMAL site? I would’ve! That recording was posted a year before the kid disappeared.

Oh good I couldn't stop watching it. It was so suspenseful and so non predictable. And the message was so good at the end that I copied it down and sent it to somebody who needed to hear that that particular day. And the last line how you tied it into the title absolutely gave me chills and just did again while I was talking about it. Kudos timesca million!!

You can never really see and know the light till you've peered into the dark. Into the unknown. We tend to fear that which we don't know. Good job on your film. Tense, edge of the seat style. The ending was totally unexpected. It's all the better when it's a surprise and not what was expected.

One thing that I realized lately, good cinematographers (or is it the directors?) when they shoot darkness, always have some bright lights included, such as lamps, highlights, appliance indicator lights, or lights seen through a window. 6:51 I noticed this in Richard Gere's Mothman Prophecy and in John Wick. In first seven minutes it has been well done here, but whether by instinct or by bein taught that way I don't know.

It moved slowly but suspenseful. The choice of music built my curiosity to a fragile balance on the edge of a new discovery, a clue, a surprisind revelation, coaxing me on to the next rush of adrenaline! With the great cinematography and choreographed scenes I felt like I was the one running from the cloaked figure with my heart pounding! This is exactly what two teens would do to find their lost friend and not give up! Good mystery movie without the gore!! 👍🏻

Guys, considering this was your first feature film, for what it's worth, you got a lot right. The soundtrack enhanced the dramatic moments perfectly, & sure, there were times when the acting wasn't the best, but there are studio films where the acting is far worse. The stunts were pretty good, especially the fall down the hill. I'd say you should hold your head high for this effort, & given a few acting lessons you have a promising career ahead of you my friend. Research has shown that sound has about 80% of the unconscious importance to the watcher of screenwise entertainment. Six minutes inward the sound has been grippin, first the music, then the rain, then so far as I have heard the emotion in the first speakresse's voice. I think the editor has a knack for pacin and rhythm, at least so it seems at this point.

Great job! As an industry insider, you really told a new and interesting story with what you had, and it reminds everyone that story and doing the best visual storytelling your equipment will allow is more important than special effects, top-tier editing, expensive equipment, and everything else that goes with a big budget.
