Synopsis: When a paperboy goes missing in the local woods, it's up to his friends to find answers. Following a mysterious trail of clues, they venture into the heart of the unknown, and unearth something much deeper. (see edit below)

We are basically just a small group of friends who wanted to go out and make a fun little movie, and we had a blast doing so. Well, it’s finally here! “Down the Road” is my first (completed) feature film and I’m so excited to share it with you all. This was a project many years in the making, and was the hardest project I've ever tackled. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into making it, and I hope you enjoy!

Haven’t watched it yet but for the fact that the crew has even stated that they made it with a group of friends and was mainly for fun, I give that a huge thumbs up. They stated that one should not expect it to be perfect cause they’re still learning and I’ll definitely watch it❤😊I love how real they are and not trying to sell us a fake idea of a perfect movie.

I absolutely LOVE this little Indie gem! I get so very tired of the many distracting and discouraging agendas pushed in big Hollywood films, and this is much more than the occasional breath of fresh air with its interesting story, intriguing mystery, and true message of love and friendship, all topped off with surprisingly excellent acting. I was impressed with the authenticity of the whole package, and I would LOVE to see this kind of movie get real attention...give the public a real alternative to Hollywood. "A greater love hath no man than this; than to lay down his life for his friends..." or something like that. The compassion throughout was a beautiful thing, and it is good to be reminded sometimes of the tender side of humanity. There is so much more to life than building up material things. So much finer to value the lasting treasures of the temporal world. *Highly recommend!*

Incredible movie. This came up for me out of the blue, and I was intrigued. Everything about this movie is just right; writing, plot, characters/actors, cinematography. Simple indie films like this don't have the elements that large box office movies have to depend on. Instead, they absolutely have to be creative, have a good plot, and good acting. That's if it's a good one. This is one of the GOOD ones. The visuals during the opening credits is a perfect example. That was creative! The suspense is great. A scene or two was kind of "camp", but it carried the story seamlessly. Great job, guys.

This is a very good film. Towering trees create a tunnel shrouded in heavy fog enticing all to want to know what is beyond. I was captivated by the woods and what mystery they held. The music is beautiful and eerie. The poignant ending, wow. I couldn't yearn for a better film which drew me in from its opening to its ending.

If this was your first attempt at a movie, it is nearly a block buster! Some of the acting was a little stiff, don't shine a light into the camera, EVER, but I was glued to this all the way to the credits! Bravo!

Our school sent us two movies to review, but I chose to watch *Down the Road* and I’m so glad I did! Everything about this movie is amazing: the scenes, the characters, the videography everything was done so well. What really stood out for me was how it ended on a mystery note. I love mystery films because they keep you thinking long after the movie is over. Unlike regular endings, mysteries leave you imagining different possibilities and scenarios, and *Down the Road* does exactly that. It’s been on my mind ever since I finished it, and I can’t stop thinking of alternate endings and what could’ve happened. This was such a thought-provoking and engaging watch.

Oh good I couldn't stop watching it. It was so suspenseful and so non predictable. And the message was so good at the end that I copied it down and sent it to somebody who needed to hear that that particular day. You can never really see and know the light till you've peered into the dark. Into the unknown. We tend to fear that which we don't know. Good job on your film. Tense, edge of the seat style. The ending was totally unexpected. It's all the better when it's a surprise and not what was expected.

It moved slowly but suspenseful. The choice of music built my curiosity to a fragile balance on the edge of a new discovery, a clue, a surprisind revelation, coaxing me on to the next rush of adrenaline! With the great cinematography and choreographed scenes I felt like I was the one running from the cloaked figure with my heart pounding! This is exactly what two teens would do to find their lost friend and not give up! Good mystery movie without the gore!! 👍🏻

Great job! As an industry insider, you really told a new and interesting story with what you had, and it reminds everyone that story and doing the best visual storytelling your equipment will allow is more important than special effects, top-tier editing, expensive equipment, and everything else that goes with a big budget. This indie film starts off slow, but there's a plot twist about 3/4 way through that I didn't see coming, and I'm an author, so I can usually guess and am right. All together there are three plot twist which are great. Making this a true original film. You guy's will go far. Keep it up.

Guys, considering this was your first feature film, for what it's worth, you got a lot right. The soundtrack enhanced the dramatic moments perfectly, & sure, there were times when the acting wasn't the best, but there are studio films where the acting is far worse. The stunts were pretty good, especially the fall down the hill. I'd say you should hold your head high for this effort, & given a few acting lessons you have a promising career ahead of you my friend. Makes my imagination wander ... I thought something other worldly was in the woods and whatever is lost in there, it keeps but if people on this side keep looking with the intent to find, it releases. The key message I got was society should not ignore or accept people simply listed as 'missing persons' but keep looking to find these real people taken from us. Many are fortunate they have someone who insist on looking but many do not and the case goes cold.

Really enjoyed watching this. It's full of suspense but doesn't come across as intentionally scaring the viewer. That night scene where they were being chased home actually reminded me of that Nazgul chasing the hobbits at the Shire, one of the most suspenseful movie scenes I've seen.
