Thank you for sharing the beautiful nature on your door step Simon. I have a question: can you walk right into the countryside? Are there footpaths like in England, or is it more like in Scotland where one is allowed to walk almost anywhere as long as it doesn't disturb someone's privacy? Thank you.
@simonsparaguay8 ай бұрын
Yes and no. Out in the countryside up into the hills, no problems but where there are houses all land tends to be owned by someone. Often footpaths cross peoples land and if they pass within sight of a house it is polite to ask permission first. Almost always given but if it is a known tourist sight they may well ask for a small payment

Very nice! How are those dirt roads on your little motorcycle, especially when it rains? I'm imagining it gets pretty slippery. Is that clay soil?
@simonsparaguayАй бұрын
@@concernedcanadian8460 Yes a heavy clay that turns to mud in heavy rain. Most days great on a bike and have learnt to let the water soak away before heading out after rain

It's just the electricity goes out every day in the rainy season, because the infrastructure is so old there's always a problem to fix. Be prepared!
@simonsparaguay2 ай бұрын
There has been a fair bit of work on the infrastructure so the electric is pretty good. These days tends to be if there are high winds during a storm and a cable comes down somewhere. Normally back on in an hour or two
@ennelya2 ай бұрын
@ I had directvexperience of that, every day last year many times in a row, and many times for a half day or even longer. In village next to Piribebuy. Also water problems there, but we had a well, fortunately. The best chipa is in Paraguari, though! 😉👍👋🏻
