Cant wait to see these guys with Zac Brown and Sonia Leigh in Indy this weekend. Long live southern rock. Honestly never heard of them until I bought my tickets. I thought I would check out their music.I got to say I am pleasantly surprised. You never know who the next great band is going to be. I remember when I first heard Zac Brown I knew him and his band would do well. I hope the same fortune finds Blackberry Smoke.

Saw a news article about BBS "taking on" George Jones. I thought meant a fight! I said to my boyfriend "Who the H#LL are those hairy b@stards and why are they bothering George Jones?!" Zac Brown is a good friend of the boys from Smoke. He offered them a home on his label "Southern Ground" and they humbly accepted. It was something that was good for everyone. If you ask Blackberry Smoke, they will tell you that Zac Brown has alot to do with their success.....(not to mention they kick ass!)

jerry christopher the annals of rock n roll is full of artists or bands that were too country for rock, and too rock for country. gram parsons, the flying burrito brothers, poco, pure prairie league, new riders of the purple sage, the byrds (sweetheart of the rodeo era ) to name just a few. such a shame ! these artists created some of the greatest music to ever come down the pike ! at least, southern rock is alive and well in this era of too little talent, too much success.

Why it wasn't included on the album I have no idea. Thanks for uploading this one on here, never even knew it existed and isn't included on any physical release to date as far as I know!
