It got to me, seeing those photos taken at Schiphol and especially that boarding video. There's something exceptionally eerie about watching a video or hearing a recording of a person going about their business, not knowing how close they are to the end. Very well made videos, Allec. A disgrace in a very dirty war. Either the people who fired the missile were completely inept and didn't recognise the innocuous flight pattern (and altitude...) of a civillian airliner, or this was a straight up war crime. The only way you could make such a mistake is if you had no clue what you were tracking, and if that's the case, why are you firing at it?

The initial survives from the breakup probably lost consciousness due to loss of pressurization and high altitude but probably some re-gained consciousness as they fell below 15000 ft. Only to wake up and be confused and shortly after hitting the ground and instant death. So although this is all speculation, the death may have been very quick and for some that were in-out of consciousness didn't feel a thing.

It's a very strange & odd set of circumstances that 2 B-777's were tragically lost (within a short time frame) ; both owned by the same carrier. This one shot down while enroute to the same airport where the other one (MH370) departed from and was never seen again. To add to the tragic loss of so many lives, SM (Social Media) now makes it possible to literally see tragic occurrences like this unfold right in front of our eyes. Those final pictures are heartbreaking to see! It's my opinion that one day soon when an airliner (or any flight in general) is lost either due to mechanical reasons, terrorists, or enemy ground fire, there's going to be actual video footage of some sort found in the debris; eg pilots & crews throughout the globe utilize go pro technology to capture the experience and either share it with others or use it for training purposes..
@kotezstudio7 жыл бұрын
The ntsb or investigators probably have video from inside aircraft crashes already but will never be released, there were rumors about there being one from the Germanwings flight but you can only speculate unless someone leaked that information. guess we'll never no. unless someone streams the crash live on facebook or twitch.
@brandonhulse93047 жыл бұрын
The video thing also happened on Space a shuttle Columbia on its final decent. The crew was videoing the re entry and investigators speculated that the astronauts survived the break up, so it is likely that the camera survived the break up with the astronauts and the part where it cuts off in the publicly released segment continues on in the original unedited clip that the astronauts shot. The investigators likely avoid publicizing such clips in order to respect those who tragically died. As for the Columbia however, there is a possibility that some of the video was destroyed upon impacting the ground.
@ericlozen96317 жыл бұрын
Brandon Hulse Thanks for your feedback. I watched the "breaking news" broadcasts of the Space Shuttle Columbia as it was unfolding. By chance were you referring to the Space Shuttle Challenger in your context? The reports I heard were that experts believe that the crew was still (medically speaking) alive when the cockpit module hit the ocean. They said it was separated from the main body of the shuttle after it exploded. I did see the "edited" reentry video of the Columbia. I believe they perished during the breakup. There's no way they could have survived at those high altitudes & forward speed of the shuttle as it was coming apart. Some of the crews flight suits were shown to the media such as a helmet, soul of a boot, and uniform patches. Of course if they did find any human remains it was kept confidential for respect.
@brandonhulse93047 жыл бұрын

At 6:29 one can see the corpse of a passenger in the lower right corner. Most likely that was Hasni Hardi bin Parlan who was sitting in a jump seat near the tail of the aircraft (which was right near his body). Also, his face, though badly mutilated, resembles photos of said person. (I do not recommend looking at the pictures/videos of his corpse. It's the most horrific thing I've seen). As for the suffering of passengers, the majority of them would have lost consciousness fairly quickly. In the July 2002 mid-air collision over Europe, the Bakshirian Airline pilots screamed as they went down, but lost consciousness (fell silent) at a certain point. Explosive decompression while traveling at almost 600 mph at 33,000 feet where there's no breathable oxygen--combined with flying debris, extremely cold temperatures, and bone-shattering winds--is not survivable. The only passenger who appears to have had his eyes wide open is Parlan; in fact, his eyes seemed to have popped out of their sockets. May God rest the souls of the victims and give them eternal peace.
