Well its because dems are so stuck up their own ass they can't realize that democrats have come across as more racist this election cycle. Everytime conservatives and trump talk about immigrants, they always separate illegal aliens from actual latino american citizens. Meanwhile, democrats fearmonger that trump will deport all hispanics and latinos. Y'know what that tells voters? That democrats hold illegals and immigrant citizens to the exact same level, if you're a Latino American then to one group you're only a latino, and to the other you're only an American. And if you're here through legal means, odds are that being considered american in the eyes of politicians is more important to you.

The issue is that even if men were ok with thier wife/GF making more then them, the woman themselves would not be. Women divorce men overwhelmingly because of money, and having a man who makes less then them, the divorce rates would be through the roof even more than they already are right now. Women NEED their mate to be a person who they look up to, and to be the provider and protector. This is why so many high educated, high earning women like Dr's etc have a near impossible time finding a man they find suitable to marry, because very few men are in that realm of earning power, and stats wise, finding an alpha man who is like 6'2 and attractive AND is a lawyer, AND makes more then they do as a Dr is basically impossible.

"You have to normalize talking to people with different viewpoints" Back in the Bush era, Bill Maher got a show on HBO called 'Real Time'. He was very anti Bush, anti conservative, etc. And that was his audience. However, at some point in the first season he started saying he wanted to get conservatives to come on his show, and the audience laughed, thinking it was a bit. And he basically said "No, I'm serious. It's important to hear their side and understand why they think the way they do". Penn and Teller got a show on Showtime called Bullshit!, where they would say their side of an issue, then bring guys on who basically seemed nuts. But they made it a point to say "We don't trick these people, we tell them what our shkw is, what they're being interviewed for, and what side we're on. We don't take them out of context, and we look for the people considered the authorities on that side. We're biased as all fuck, but we try to be fair" Say what you will about any or all of those three, but they understood the complete picture is better than an echo chamber. Real Time is still on, last I checked, and conservatives will still come on, because they get an actual chance to talk with a mostly reasonable host

@ssjwes572 I, and many others, have issues with Bill Maher. But his willingness to let people he doesn't agree with talk on his show isn't one of them. People cry about platforming, but if these guys are frothing nutters, we need to SEE that. And if they have a point, we need to see THAT too

It's essentially political Darwinism--they censor and ban anyone who even slightly disagrees, so they're all that's left. It creates a bubble that specializes in only their own hateful ideology, leading to their views becoming more and more extreme while having competition to challenge them on these beliefs. It's also why they immediately blame their losses on absolutely crazy things, because they honestly don't believe there are that many people that think differently than them--after all, they got rid of all the wrongthinkers. It's all the hallmarks of a cult, applied to political ideology.

Pretty tame and a decent reaction in my eyes. I got banned and the reason was "cis isnt a slur." Never once said it was or wasn't. I was wanting people to just be decent to each other. Terminally liberal and progressive minded people like the guy in the video, never account for women's preferences/agency in terms of dating, it's always shifting the angle to men, when men don't have any power in that. It's women who have a problem in being the provider in the relationship, therefore, they tend to avoid that. Heterossexual relationships start because women choose a man, almost never the other way around, a man has to be almost a celebrity to be the one dictating which woman he'll choose to date.

That ending bit regarding smug college students reminded me of that one IQ test panel video from a couple years ago, where they took roughly 5-6 people and tested their IQs and ranked who got higher. Before it started they ranked each other based on their jobs and real life experiences, and you know who was often ranked the lowest? The guy who never went to college but was an NCO in the US Army, who was kind and respectful. Whereas the two college grad girls who paraded their accomplishments ranked themselves the highest. Wanna know the scores of the test? NCO ranked one of the top, he didnt get the top but he was roughly second or third, while the two college grads both got the lowest of the group. The irony of the whole situation was that no one ever asked the soldier what he did in the military, what his profession was. HE WAS A CBRN SPECIALIST. A CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOACTIVE, NUCLEAR DEFENSE SPECIALIST IN THE MILITARY. This smug sense of superiority people have who go to college is pretty wild at times. And I'm not knocking on college as a whole, you can certainly learn alot going, but the way they assumed someones intelligence just because he never went and because he was in the military, when he had more lived life experience than the both of them was pretty amusing to watch.

The medicare system is a bad idea. Take it from someone in the UK dealing with the NHS. Our NHS costs more than a lot of countries entire GDPs. We spend 1.5x of the russian military budget on it each year, and you still can't see a doctor within 3 weeks of booking an apoitment. Testing is done on seperate days to visits (meaning that you have to re-book and wait again) and surgery is only done if it is 100% vital to survival, meaning that stage 1 and 2 cancer patients often get told no until it gets to stage 3.... perfect system with zero flaws.... 👍 EDIT: For the people that got to ride the slow bus to school as a kid, the NHS can be good in some areas, or from a few years ago, while also being bad currently and in areas that you aren't living in. Just because you personally managed to get the amazon prime treatment doesn't mean I didn't have to wait 4 months for my autoimmune diagnosis. I can't believe people need to hear this, but not everyone is living an identical life to yours, and not everyone lives in the same street as you. Some of us only have a handful of GP practices, and more elderly people per capita (meaning and increased demand and a decreased supply).

The UK also took massive cuts by the Tories and is suffering one of the worst economies of the developed world. The NHS isn't so bad in it of itself (still far from perfect), but because of the whole it's a part of.

Well that’s the problem with anything “publicly funded”, since as soon as the government becomes incapable of paying for the service, the system collapses. Venezuela being the worst case scenario, where the country was reliant on oil money to pay for all those social programs and when oil prices fell, the whole country collapsed. Europe still has some residual wealth from the past as well as the US mostly subsidizing their military spending, so they can last a bit longer, but their stagnant economies does mean it won’t last forever. Hell, they’d collapse virtually overnight if the US actually does pull out of NATO.

Hi. I'm not American, but I wanted to share my perspective on something discussed in the video-about how Hollywood and celebrities have been seen as Democrat propaganda, or left-leaning propaganda in general. I’ve noticed a misconception that Hollywood's influence is on par with podcasts or TikToks. From my experience, it’s actually much stronger. Here’s why: in non-English-speaking countries, Hollywood movies dominate because they come with official subtitles and dubs, making them accessible. Podcasts and TikToks, on the other hand, often lack subtitles, and KZbin removing community subtitles years ago didn’t help. As someone outside the U.S., I’ve seen Hollywood’s influence far more than, say, American podcasts. Not to be rude to Mr. Rogan, but the only thing I know about his podcast is the meme of Elon Musk smoking during an interview. What I really want to say is that in recent years, people here have started to act like the ones in this video. We focus less on "what" politicians do and more on "who" they are or which "side" they’re on. Even worse, we’ve adopted a two-party system mindset in a country that doesn’t even run on that system. I don’t want to write an overly long comment, so I’ll elaborate on this in a reply below if anyone’s interested.
@darklusia_OT14 сағат бұрын
Okay, so there’s this political party that’s currently the most popular in my country. They brand themselves as the symbol of democracy, and if you don’t vote for them, you "deserve to be sent to the gas room" (their words, not mine). Despite their image, I find them impossible to support. Many members have committed crimes-some openly admit it and frame it as "the result of an unjust system." While I agree our justice system has flaws, that’s not the case here. For instance, the party leader is a wife abuser who publicly shared a story about abusing his ex-wife, laughing about it during an interview. Whenever people bring this up, his supporters blame the ex-wife. The rest of the party members aren’t much better-some are even worse. I might overlook these moral issues if they were good at solving problems, but they’re not. For example, when asked how they would address poverty, their answer was: "We’ll open more banks so people can borrow more money and give people monthly pocket money." When asked where the funding would come from, they said, "We’re studying it, but it’ll happen if we win." This came from someone they call "the brain of the party." Their campaign is confusing, too. One part promises to cut military funding and give citizens the savings, while another promises advanced military tech like drones. The most heartbreaking thing they’ve done was contact civilians stuck in a warzone, ignore warnings from evacuation teams about revealing their location, and ask the victims to praise them on social media in exchange for help-which never came. So, how do they get votes? The answer is their media strategy. The leader’s mother owns one of the biggest news outlets in our country. Party members are excellent at using social media, hiring teams to like, share, and spam hashtags, and they’ve even infiltrated schools to "educate" children as young as middle school. They have youth groups encouraging minors to spread propaganda among their peers. If anyone criticizes them, whether it’s a news channel or a celebrity, they’re mass-reported and silenced unless backed by powerful allies. Even people who support democracy but dislike this party are demonized. I’m sharing this because American media has a massive influence on my country. It may sound desperate, but if there’s anything you can do about your media’s impact, please do. It’s hopeless here.

45:00 finally, someone mentioning the Pyramid of Needs in this election. That realization hit me about a week ago, and it took up permanent residence in my brain, but I haven't seen anyone other than Alana mention it. I thought I was going crazy.

Her groceries comment sent it for me. grocery issues, housing… yeah have to address getting off level 1. Especially when many thought that was beat for them.

I'm waiting for the "Why do these vutubers like me" video where she talks about Alana and others watching all of her videos. It'll be great fun.

33:48 Alana, there is something that people don't talk about often but the majority of women who make more than their boyfriend/husband are VERY abusive towards the man and some men just take the abuse because they either believe they can't do any better or the woman has so much control over them that they would be homeless if they don't obey. The only exception to this is if the man is very attractive and has a creative skill like being an artist or musician. The average man will never experience that in their life.

As a Latin American, I often watch these videos to check what's like politics on the northen side of the continent and realize politics here aren't that different. We got a side that hates cops and wants everything for free and feels delusional, and a trump's wannabe sides that take it too far most of the time borderline being corpo defenders. Just give me someone that makes my bills less expensive (Just so we are clear, politics are way different here and americans probably can't understand unless you know about the drama regarding dictatorships we had and country ending corrupt goverments and that changes from country to country down here)

You’re thinking about how you want to **** 2B aren’t you?
@Gakusangi17 сағат бұрын
The "change" both sides want is very different. One wants nothing that will change their status in society and challenge their position, the other wants to make the system better and work for regular people again, and hold them accountable when they do a bad job. It's not hard.

13:33 my nephew and I were talking about this today at thanksgiving. We always talk about everything including politics and I told him I think it's sad that people can't just talk like adults and be rational. We don't all have to agree. Even people that think they agree with each other will find something they don't eventually. Thats how it's supposed to be. Team politics suck. Why leave no room for criticism? Questioning things is the first step to knowledge and understanding. Nothing should be above it. "Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." - Thomas Jefferson

I have a better idea. What if instead of bracelets they used armbands? You know, somewhere noticeable like the left shoulder, it's really visible and when you greet people you can be really excited and stretch out your arm to show everyone which group you belong to 👍

The only good that college did for me was the loan i took out for 1 year, apparently so few people pay their student loans off that when you do it puts your credit score on steroids. Thanks to that I got a 3%mortgage rate in 2019
