Hey I’m trying to get into downhill long boarding I’m pretty good at regular skating like street and stuff I can varial and hardflip and stuff but I wanna try this type of skating because I live pretty close to pv which is super hilly, any suggestions on trucks, decks, wheels, bearings, etc? I wanna keep it under 150$ I need solid brand names all the KZbin videos I’ve seen tell me about different types and it’s super confusing I need a real longboarder to tell me his specs and what he likes. Also I can powerslide pretty well but whenever I try to do it on longboards it won’t work so I’d prefer to have less sticky wheels unless someone tells me otherwise

A downhill board with pretty good concave, along side a wheel roughly 72mm-78mm would be ideal for slides and around 81a hardness, a drop through trucks helps beginner as well, get a board with good rough black griptape, wrap the grip tape around the edges as well to aid in different variation of slides! Hope this helps (: train hard !
