I have lived in many different parts of BC. Grew up on Vancouver Island. Grad from NDSS 84. But one of my favourite places is Northern BC in the peace region by Fort St John. Beautiful scenery. Largest earth Dam and man made lake in BC. Go during early September to see the leaves change and better chance of hearing the Northern lights. I volunteered with the North Peace Search and rescue team and they will be a good source of seeing the back country.

That was a great way to have a strategy planning retreat, Mike. It's amazing what people don't realise is in their own backyard. During COVID lockdowns, I found some amazing things, even within my immediate neighbourhood, I didn't know existed during my confined exercise walks. You certainly opened up the experiences of Vancouver Island with Matt and Warwick. Warwick HAS come halfway around the world by all accounts. I thought I detected an Aussie accent there. Great to know you have a down to earth pair of friends to back up your KZbin channel. Keep em' comin'! Cheers from Michael downunder in Melbourne.

Hey Michael, you know there are some great rail journeys down here. You could cross 2/3 of the continent by train. Cairns to Brisbane on a bullet train (1700km), the South Easter from Brisbane to Adelaide via Sydney and Melbourne (a 3 day journey with great stops), Adelaide to Darwin on the Great Ghan (2 day journey plus great stops on the way), and Adelaide to Perth on the Indian Pacific (another long journey with great stops). Love to see you guys give these a go. Oh and yeah, we have tons of forest like that (from the tropical jungles in the north, to the cold climate forest in the south and the alpine forest in the Australian Alps). Our forests are world heritage and many of them are among the oldest living forests on the planet, especially the Gondwana forests of the east and south.

Thanks for the nice videos. Re @ 8:20, an even better unrecommended and unvisited rainforest loop walk is west across the highway, the old Spruce Fringe Trail. The first hundred feet of boardwalk has been dismantled and the rest has not been maintained for well over a decade (the trail head has signage that says Closed and Danger or Keep Out) but if one can push through the heavily overgrown sections, crawl over and under the windfall, and tip-toe around too rotten boardwalk, the still walkable and now totally secluded sections are the best forest walk in the Park!

As a Nanaimo native I've enjoyed the local content you always put out, really gets people a great look at the world we're lucky enough to live in! Have you ever considered doing a video on the Port Hardy to Prince Rupert Inside Passage ferry? I could be mistaken but I believe it's the longest Ferry in Canada at 15 hours long at 274 nautical miles. It runs as day trips during the summer but is a super unique experience when it runs overnight during the fall/spring/winter. Either way it's a gorgeous ferry ride up the coast, almost more like a cruise than anything. It's an experience that I don't think you could get anywhere else in the country, or perhaps even in North America! Would make for a really neat video showcasing a lesser known gem of the province.
