I have downloaded the village boundary shape file, but after opening the file it is showing wrong lat long values. what to do?

It happens sometime on QGIS. Basically it says fix geometry... So for that go to the search option on the lower left corner of the QGIS window... Search fix geometry... Select the layer... And run the fix geometry operation... then the problem is probably solved...

Thank you...but how to know all the villages names are correct or not?

The name of the village is not 100 percent accurate... But it's accuracy is about 80-85%. you can find accurate village names on nrega.nic.in website... It's the RDD website. They work on Village level. So the village name was accurate in there..
