If you have a RAC database and all the patches that you are installing are RAC Rolling installable (you can see in each patch readme), then you can perform a rolling patch apply. The database will not be down. But each individual node will be taken down for a reboot. However, GI will move the services accordingly. Regards, Daniel

Hi Tomás, You are right that you must run datapatch when you patch databases. This video is about the Oracle Home, and we have another one about patching the database kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGaqhKaLiZehp9k. And it uses datapatch as you suggest. Regards, Daniel
