Wow, I have never encountered a ledger as confusing at the Excel one from Paypal. Formerly, I thought Bank of America was confusing. Paypal is 100 times more confusing. Need a tutorial on how to handle the transaction ledger.

Excellent Hector. how to do that same exercise in a way that those fees are 100% associated with the transaction? When I use the sync option, that happens automatically, but the sync sometime doesn't get previous years information. Secon question is about how to make a QBO Invoice that fully matches the PayPal register? specially with those fees....

All of the payees show up in the description column. This means they don't show up as payee in the register? How do I get them to show up in the proper column as payee? Thank you.

Make sure you map it into Payee column.. has to do with how you imported/mapped the data

@@HectorGarciaCPA Unfortunately, qbo only provides 3 column choices when importing the data. Date, description and amount. I enter "name" in the description column. However, this still leaves the payee column blank.

@@HectorGarciaCPA Thanks, I seperated the different currencies. created separate Paypal accounts for these other currencies and uploaded those transactions manually. Not an ideal solution though but a quick fix.

Maybe the way you are importing/opening it.
