Sashiko is a traditional Japanese patchwork done by poor workers to decorate / reinforce their clothing (and cover repairs) it really should be a running stitch but a sewing machine does not leave the small spaces (each stitch should only be the length of a grain of rice. I think the gaps too) unless you use 'invisible' thread but I can't remember if it's top or bobbin you put it in using bean stitch, it reminds me more of blackwork - I love dabbling with the patterns in the extension. I normally get my plotter to draw them out (which means I can get it to leave the gaps) LOL and can use them for backing papers etc. if you have inkstitch 3 you can tick the trim after button in params and it will trim instead of jump. or you could use jump to stroke and manually route the 'jumps' but autoroute running stitch is good for any 'line' work so long as you don't mind some lines being stitched more then once.

Are there any other extensions that you can recommend? I think this is super cool-still trying to figure out the gradient fill with text-if you could do a video on that I’d appreciate it!

hey i love your videos! i had a question about splitting a pre bought design in inkstitch. i have a 4x4 machine and i want to buy a 5x7 design and split it for my repositional hoop. could you guys please do a video on this or just explain it a little here? thank you!
