100% agree! The DMCA takedowns are getting out of hand. If Downloader's web browser feature was the issue, then Google Chrome should also be removed from the Play Store.

I expanded my 4k Max with a USB External Drive and when I moved most of my apps to the External Drive and installed them I didn't delete the APK's. I also copied all the APKs to an additional USB drive for safekeeping. I now have most of my Apps safely stored away for reinstalling them as needed.

This does not affect the Nvidia Shield as Downloader is incorporated into the Nvidia Shield software.

That’s the first time I have heard about that, though you would still need to download from the play store like any other Android TV device.

Downloader is now back in the play store but you could also use TV bro as an alternative.

If you have a fire device it will be. Google removed it from their devices

It will still be there if its already installed but if you removed it you wont be able to reinstall it from the Play Store!
