I saw many hate comments and how some fans stopped being a fan of one of them and no longer a BJYX, after the Weibo Night Awards. I'm not going to go too deeply into this. However, I wanted to prove them wrong and that there's in fact many sweet hidden interactions. Not direclty but indirectly. This video is to show there were sweet moments! At that time yibo and xz had been on the hotsearch on weibo so many times for there interations that they caught controversia attention. Therefore at this event both of them tried to minimize their interaction in order to protect each other's career. Despite the amount of love I have for the series I could only imagine how much backlash they must’ve gotten from their own country, especially the elders. The amount of people that must’ve talked trash behind their backs. This type of film is extremely controversial especially in china where they’re even more hateful towards gays. I hope this doesn’t ruin their friendship because even if they’re not actually together they must still get along well to have that much chemistry together. Well, for me it's not just about the lgbt issue there. Even if one of them is a girl, this kind of thing would eventually happen. Because crazy and toxic solo stans just like overreacting, being hateful, creating wars, degrading others, and other malicious acts. Not to mention, they have mindset like their idol (especially young ones on their peak career) must be straight but still being single until they grow tired and find another one to be fans of. I know that there are toxic shippers, but blaming shippers for this kind of situation is such a hypocrisy for me. Because what toxic solo stans did has more real damage. This event took place BEFORE AO3 INCIDENT. XZ was (and still is) having problems with his agency and had heat arguments with his agency CEO on this period. He tried to quit but due to contract, it's not that easy for him to leave. Probably the agency pressed (or threatened) him about something. From my perspective, XZ (who's well known for taking care of his staffs and friends) worried that his agency would involve WYB to pull him down, since the two were (and still are) in the spotlight of China media because of Untamed fame. That's the reason he kept some distance from WYB on this event because he's afraid something would happen, NOT because this event was monitored by government. Other events are monitored as well. Before this, WYB and DD attended other events and tv show together, they looked just fine, sat together and talked a lot. BUT that was BEFORE XZ had fight with his own agency. A03 incident is just the gasoline to existing fire. There's bigger problem on the plate. Please google "Internet Water Army", they are paid to pretend as fans and provoke other fans, or play as antis to spread hate messages to manipulate people. It's not uncommon in China, and amount of money is really big, you could buy your whole fandom and still spend more. So it's no wonder they have such power to have government block AO3 less than a week. Also, don't you think it's weird that they proudly said "it's all thanks to XZ fans' movement" but XZ agency did nothing to help him. The agency and DAYTOY are two different things, and not linked to each other. His studio is funded by himself. Sadly some 'silly' fans have no idea that they have been manipulated this whole time, until today. I think I can understand Yibo. I also have only one friend. I am too reserved to make many friends. I met my friend in the University I did my masters from. It's been 10 years now and we are still very good friends. When I see these two, I miss my those days... Girls in the hostle also commented us and asked, 'if everything normal between us?'. Gays were not that common then, so we just did not pay any attention. People waited for the day when both of us will fight, but we did not. We are girls. Sorry but this was heartbreaking to me. For two guys that used to stare into each other's eyes all the time and smile nonstop, this was a sharp contrast.
