Downsides of Going Direct to Front of House

I've noticed a drawback of going direct to front of house with your guitar or bass signal in a live small venue environment. Relevant to all of you out there who like me use a digital sim for their live sound (BIAS FX/AMP, Helix, Quad Cortex, Kemper etc) without a power AMP and cab.
