We sold our 34foot Windjammer Travel Trailer and bought a 2009 Jayco pop up camper. The Forest River was just too big and was no longer serving us. When we sold our house we lived in the RV for 4 months while we transitioned and the fact that it had two rooms really sold us for living full time.
Once we got settled at our new home it just wasn't needed and was so much work to take out for short or spontaneous camping trips. We spent a season renting it out on AirBnB which was a fun experience.
Ultimately, I wanted something that I was capable of taking out on my own and that we could load up and go quickly. We can set this up in just about 15 minutes! I really like that we were able to downsize some of what we were taking with us since we don't have an oven or microwave now we are keeping it much more simple and minimal.
