Is it possible to go visit aquarium and houston Zoo on the same day?? Any recommendations or were to go first
@TomsRoadTrippin
@TomsRoadTrippin 2 ай бұрын
If you are trying to fit both attractions into the same day, I would recommend going to the zoo first. The zoo starts to put the animals into their nighttime habitat an hour before closing. You don't have to worry about Aquarium animals being put into another area. I definitely recommend going to each attraction on a different day but if you only have a single day to do both you won't have time to go back to anything you miss. I hope you have fun

Hey Tom! Once again I managed to finish this on the first day! My thoughts: holy shoot this place is beautiful! The habitats, the hallways, just WOW 😳 😯!! I really liked the white tigers and reticulated python! I’ve heard of reticulated pythons in aquariums and you’ve seen them in aquariums before but white tigers? Who saw that coming? 3 of them too! I loved their names! I just want to point out a few things Tom, kinda show off my animal knowledge a bit! I hope you don’t mind! 17:26: The first few things will be about the Reticulated Python. First ( skip to the time stamp above ), then look just before the tail starts, see the bump? It’s most likely digesting a meal! 2: Also about the Reticulated Python: judging by the sheer size of this snake, I’d say it’s a female! You see Tom, with almost all snakes, the females are almost always larger mainly because they need to carry eggs or live young ( depending on the species )! For example: male reticulated pythons typically stay around 15-18 feet while females can get to 25 feet or more! While more than 25 is EXTREMELY RARE, it does happen! I’d make this Reticulated Python to be 20+ feet! 13:34: When the signage about the ray says that natives fear the ray more than the piranha, it makes perfect sense because it’s been proven that Piranhas eat rotting meat for the most part! Think of them as the vultures of the water! One last thing Tom! On Saturday, it’s my first official day at work! Really nervous but looking forward to meeting the team! I’m hoping it goes well! Also Tom, I’ve been wondering: when’s your birthday? Now before you judge I just want to know this so that when the time comes I can wish you happy birthday in the comments! My birthday is in a few weeks! June 24th! Alright that’ll do for this comment! Looking forward to your reply Tom!

This was a beautiful aquarium, I enjoyed it very much. Tigers are most definitely not a normal part of an aquarium but it was still awesome to see. The Reticulated Python are a very invasive species in Florida. Uninformed people get them as pets when they're little. They often don't realize just how large they get. Ball Python are very similar to them but are so much more compact snakes. You mentioned that that snake had a bulge, I just figured it ate a giant jawbreaker. Those Rays can be extremely dangerous, look what happened to Steve Irwin. Piranha are vilified in movies the same way as sharks. Neither consume human as a food source. Thanks for your input and additional information about the pythons.

@@TomsRoadTrippin Thanks Tom! And I’m sorry if I made my statement sound like rays aren’t dangerous, they can really mess up your day! Maybe I worded it wrong! I couldn’t agree more on what you said about the reticulated python. A KZbin channel I follow: Snake discovery, they have two reticulated pythons but they have the means to keep them happy at the facility they recently purchased! Also thanks for that bit about work! I hope it goes over well! I’m ready for over 50 years of commitment Btw did you meet any fans on this road trip?

Hey Tom! I’m leaving a second comment to let you know how my first day went: Firstly: everyone was super nice! A few different people trained me and it was a pretty enjoyable day! My boss is super nice too! I practiced on the cashier, cleaned the bathroom ( apparently I really impressed my trainer with my cleaning skills)! I replaced garbage bags, stocked the fridge and napkins! That pretty much sums it up! I was wondering Tom if you’re comfortable telling me, what was your first job? I just did a bunch of small things mostly! Oh and I made coffee!
