Downtown Medellin #35 - Centro Medellin, Cable Car Tour, Botero Sculptures. 101 days in Colombia

Our day in downtown Medellin was super fun and a real eye opener! It was busy and beautiful. Medellin is a huge city with many places of interest. We liked riding the Medellin Metro Cable car...the views are amazing. The kids liked the Botero Sculptures. If you know what the guy was typing on the typewriter, please tell us! Adam and Dana.

This is quite and adventure for you guys in my country Colombia. I love seeing a family enjoying so much. Most of the time I've seeing grown foreigner couples or single travelers but not often families like you guys. It is awesome that even none of you hardly speak Spanish, manage to get around pretty easily. Dad being that outgoing and extroverted helps a lot though. Well done.

Ellos escriben documentos para hacer tramites con el estado, tales como: documentos tributarios, una carta, una solicitud a la ciudad, un contrato de arrendamiento, una promesa de compra y venta inmobiliaria, un pagaré, una reclamación o algún otro trámite relacionado con la institucionalidad. Generalmente lo haría una oficina oficial, un abogado o un contador, pero hay gente que no puede pagar a un abogado entonces van donde ellos, pues sus servicios son más baratos. Las autoridades los capacitan para esas funciones, pero con el advenimiento de la tecnología y la internet, cada vez ese oficio va desapareciendo. Y en unos años seguramente ya no existirá.

Haha. You are right! By the last 2 weeks, out of our 15 week trip, Sloan was exited to go home and see her friends. She missed her grade 9 class and her hockey team too. She loved travelling in Colombia, but she is happy to be home too. Did you enjoy the videos?

Looks like you guys went ro the bad parts in downtown Medellin. El Poblado and others are better. Lots of Americans at el Poblado and tourists from all-over.

We did explore some of the downtown. It was a little different, but I always wanted to visit there. We spent 10 days in Medellin, and only 2 hours downtown. I probably wouldn’t go back, but I am really glad I went to check it out! Did you like the movie? Do you have any tips for the next ones?

@McClintonfamilydventures first, I like the way your family gets along. It's funny the way you threw your son in the pool and the way ge answered back. I heard the Parque Tyrina us awesome! But I don't like the local sellers at the coast, cause they are too intrusive. Go to tge River that goes through a Rick Mountain in Santander. El valle del Tisquisote. It is impressive! Thanks for the videos. Oh, in Medellin, in the mall of tge America's in el Poblado, they fun stuff for your kids up in the 5th floor. It's an honor to be answered by you guys!

We got stuck! We tried to get a taxi and an Uber the whole way home. It was the one and only time, in all of Colombia, that we could not find a taxi. We didn’t want to walk, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!

🟥With all the love I tell you. ◾Please, they are taking too many risks. ◾This is not Canada where you can go anywhere with security of your personal integrity. ◾It is cheaper to hire professional guides from specialized companies for tourists in the Poblado neighborhood. ◾They go out in groups of foreigners and they know where to go and how to take care of them. ◾Colombia is fascinating and almost all of its population is good. ◾But some are the most brutal criminals in the world.
