Cool walk. It is Gil i berto's and it is great. Yes, McDonalds take you to Hurrah Pass and further out to Chicken Corners. Kane Creek Blvd. to Kane Springs Rd. Follow the dirt up to the pass and beyond if you like. Pretty easy going but do NOT make a left into the actual Kane Creek area unlesss you want adventure. I did this...once. All the way out to the highway. Fun memory but almost spent the night back in there.

28:00 my apologies 300 South leads to hells revenge and fins n things not chicken corners. Chicken corners can be accessed from Kane creek canyon rd.

You passed Twisted Jeeps. I rented there once. Nice machines and you can take them off-road. Not so with many other local places. You will get fined and they use GPS to track all off-pavement driving. They get a text alert. You pay out.

They got good machines at Twisted Jeeps for sure!! I've always had good luck with Canyonlands Jeep Rental on multiday discounts and never a problem going anywhere that's not on their restricted list.

@@PlanetCheapskate You taught me something about Moab which is hard to do. I will have to check them out next time. Twisted was pricey but I got a good a sweet deal on a one-day rental off-season. Around $200. Many restrictions in the contract- you can drive almost anywhere but any damage is a problem. You also cannot exceed posted speed limits and trails are like 15mph. I think they track with GPS as most do. If it's not damaged they likely won't say anything but if it is- they will use that as a breach of contract and they will win. Airport Rental 100% cannot leave pavement- they check and get texts if you do. $$$

Well done. @ 28:00 I think that 3 wheeler is a Vanderhall.

Thank you for tuning in David! I do believe you are correct about the 3 wheeler out there.

Your fans at 33:48 look like *Gas Plant Wind Machines.* They weight about 2,600. Huge wind machines are also used for special effects but my money says these are used commericially in plant- usually Gas. Notice the notch on the trailer so they can be lifted and located off the floor like up and onto a platform...of a multi-storied GAS plant. Also for easy loading onto trailers. You can even see the fork lift they use- to the left. They have wheels too so they can be moved around as needed. They can easily create hurricane force winds, Cat 2 so around 100 mph. They will very effectively prevent gases from accumulating in one spot and going bang. My guess is these were headed 40 miles down the road to the Lisbon Gas processing plant located in La Sal, UT. They might also be available as rentals during work at say, a Gas plant when you can't afford stagnant air. Bottom line, if you need big wind, hire you a politician or get one of these wind machines. Both will move a lot of hot air.

Mahalo. I found your walking tour very relaxing and informative. Will be in Moab in May 2024 and had not even thought about taking time to walk through town. Now, I will.

Gilibertos is MEXICAN food- not American.
@PlanetCheapskate9 ай бұрын
We ate there one of the nights it's different. I wouldn't call it 100% Mexican. It's Mexican-American.
@MOAB-UT9 ай бұрын
@@PlanetCheapskate I could see your point but to me it's still Mexican...and I have eaten there a dozen times and I have been to Mexico too. They do have Fries to your point but they have those in Mexico too. Most everthing else is definitly very authentic- Burritos, Chiaquiles, Enchilada, Chorizo, obviously Taco's, etc. No matter what you call it- it's good!

We just stayed in a hotel next to Gilibertos. That place is insanely busy. They also have crazy hours. I think they're open from 6:30 till 2am.
