thank you for showing me the tunnel my satisfaction is done I got to see the tunnel from beginning to end perfectly because I never got to ride the bus in the tunnel before so I never knew what what in the tunnel thank you.

this was my childhood and what got me into transit as a hobby when i was just out of high school. I still remember being on the last bus ever in the tunnel, which happened to be, I think, the first ever Breda ADPB 350 bus to go through the tunnel in revenue service. It was a sad day but I'll always remember that not only did the tunnel open 11 days before I was born but i actually got to see the last day of bus service in what I thought would never disappear. Now we have only Light Rail and over all it's better but to a questionable degree. I am greatful for this video UpliftVancouver because it'll always be something that reminds me of better times in the tunnel and help me to remember all the craziness i've witnessed and directly been caught up in down under Seattle.

Why did they close it to buses?

They needed to clear space for more frequent Link trams to be able to pass through safely.

it was for safety can't have buses and train crash into each other.
