I would love to see you do a mini-series on identifying fit issues! Sometimes we wonder why things don't look good but we don't have a tailor's experience to spot the problem points. Bodices+skirts, pants, and jackets/coats are 3 categories that come to mind :)

Yes! I definitely need to do that 🥰

Using the tiny mannequin and tiny dress is GENIUS, thank you for that! It is sometimes difficult for a tailoring newbie like me to follow along with the life-size garments...the tiny one made it very easy to understand! And it's always fun to make/see doll clothes ;) Thanks for the great tutorial as always!

Thank you for this video. I have to add a godet to an evening gown with a high slit that is NOT along a seam. I have been trying to find a video for 3 days and yours is the first one that makes sense. I didn't even know the word godet until your video. Thank you. I can fix the slit now with your help!

I worked on a dress with godets yesterday and I simply created a pleat on the back. If my client didn’t like that, I can now follow your precious tutorial to have it like it was originally. Muchas gracias! 🇧🇷☺️

Gracias! A pleat is a great idea too!

Getting paid to make clothes for grown ups dolls sounds good to me! 🤭 I love godets, haven’t sewn one for years though. They give skirts such lovely swoosh, and who doesn’t like extra swoosh!

So cute seeing the tiny dress! You're so talented! I always wind up doing the godet point by hand because I'm not as precise with the machine.

Love using godets for additional flare! For anyone interested, godet is originally a French word and is pronounced as 'go-day' rather than 'go-det'.

I’ve been rewatching some of ur videos again 😂I just love them soo much and love ur cute sweet personality that’s why I always rewatch them I actually love the horsehair on the bottom it just looks more sharp and reminds me of the old crinoline hoop skirts that went under dresses in 1800’s I guess that’s why I love it soo much it brings out the whole dress with the horsehair

Love your videos. They have helped me in so many ways. I have a question. How in the world do you get your marker to work. Mine has this waxy feel to them and I have a hard time to get it to mark. Whats the secret to get it to work? You make it look so easy. Thank yo

Thanks so much! I'm using heat erase pen on this video. It completely disappear in most of the fabric. Cheers 🙂

I’m sorry. I should have been more specific. I was talking about the tailors chalk marker. (The sugared one) I can never get it to work

@@vickieswatzell9189 Try this chalks. They’re a little pricey but totally worth it! 😍😍😍 www.cleanersupply.com/tailoring/measuring-marking/carmel-disappearing-tailors-chalk-36box-white/#sku=ck101wh

I literally have that exact red-on-white fabric (not just the same print, I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same fabric), and I made a doll dress out of it... 👀 (It doesn't have a godet in it though 😂)
