I agree completely. I'm not a fan of the color orange. The Aquamarine is my favorite colorway, here; it's a shame that, for whatever reason, Doxa went with the disappearing black hour hand against its very dark dial instead of having it match the minute hand - it's perfect if not for that boneheaded decision. Sigh.

The seestern copies are really poor quality, never support Chinese copies.

Bought the black and yellow version. I understand what people are saying about the black hour hand. In person it doesn’t blend in like you would think. I would have preferred a yellow hour hand. But I’m still very happy with the watch.

The black on black hour hand is a diving flex. You're not supposed to care what hour it its because you're underwater.

Check out the movie three days of the Condor with Robert Redford 1975 on KZbin about 54 minutes in. I finally able to catch the watch Robert Redford has it looks like a boxer sub 300 on the old leather straps we used to wear, and we used to snap the watches onto the strap, pretty cool

I've been crushing on this exact model/color since I tried it on at Watches of Switzerland a couple months ago. I definitely need a Doxa in my collection. I just have to figure out if it will be his or I'll just pick up something a bit cheaper like a Sub 200. I am thinking of selling a couple of lesser worn watches to make this happen sooner, since I just bought another watch new.

Roman style numerals for hour markers. Creativity still exists. Imagine Seiko coming up with something different on a dial instead of just another name or model number for a new piece. Unlikely, but they certainly are creative when it comes to pricing.

Very eye catching piece for sure, love the sunray dial and the wave pattern. Not a fan of the beads of rice bracelet nor the skinny hour hand, but I get that is a Doxa thing.

I understand that. Let’s all just be honest for a second as watch enthusiasts and agree that Omega SMP is basically synonymous with the wave dial. Any other watch I see with a wave dial kind of feels like they are riding Omega’s wave (no pun intended)

I feel like these got very little positive press to begin with. I don't remember the TGN guys even saying a word about them. I guess the reason is it is such a departure from the toolish nature of the originals. Still think I'd go with the 300T Caribbean over this but I am warming to these.

To me, domed sticking out casebacks are unbearable. I can't stand them, they are so unconfortable, it hurts my wrist after sometime and makes the watch wobbly like a mofo. I only buy slim watches with flat casebacks where the lugs start at the high of the caseback, makes it have lower centre of gravity, hugs the wrist perfectly and stays put, not wobbling from one side to the other.
