I wore my 300 shark hunter on the day of my wedding. I figured that as I get ready for the biggest adventure of my life I should wear a great adventure watch. It’s probably the only true keeper I have now.

I came across your chanel this year and I have been enjoying going through your back catalogue videos. Always very thoughtful and interesting content. Typically I wear Panerai, Rolex, JLC, Omega, but now I have learnt more on Doxa history, I have just ordered a Sub 300 professional so thanks for the heads up! Best wishes from the 🇬🇧

Nice review. As of March 19, 2020 Doxa finally has the Sub 300T back in stock, just ordered mine. Update: got the new Sub 300T and it has a fully milled clasp with a micro adjustable sliding dive extension. Plus screw in bracelet pins. So even better than before.

In vietnam.Doxa does have a strong influence . Because of the retail stores and advertisements. I have seen doxa subs in person , vintage kind of feel . They also sell other models which are dressy style , i do love it. The price is expensive. You have earned yourself a unique watch . Orange dial is crazy and catch people's eyes lol

I was fortunate to get one of the first re-issue 300T Doxa as a wedding gift. I love it and cherish it. There is a special feeling by returning to the original dive roots of a true dive watches. This is the original orange dive watch. It is as cool today as it was in the 1960's. Isn't that what a vintage re-issue is all about?

Very cool Bruce! I have a second gen. Sharkhunter with US divers logo, head only, that is post 1967, with the mineral glass crystal from late 60's early 70's, sailboat caseback. I'm surprised the bracelet is not tapered on your watch. The original bracelets are very cool, but usually heavily stretched. Definitely a collectable watch, new or vintage. You will love a vintage one as well!

I just found this review now, in 2021. Good stuff. You are right about collecting Doxas. I started with an orange Sub 750T, and was later offered a limited edition yellow Divingstar with GMT. That's great, too. Now I am considering something in blue. Oh, I had trouble adjusting the band on the orange one, so I put it on an orange Nato strap: it's a killer combination! People at the gym are always asking me about it. Good luck--Old Guy

Bruce Williams 50 years later and that watch design still looks fresh and is at current popular dimensions. I would never part with this watch. I watched your video again and what's amazing is how ahead of its time this design was and is from the lume to the dial color. This could be a one watch collection.

Stamped clasp, no helium valve , no drilled lugs, too bending glass - making dial looks small... and price. no - its not a work of art. Its a work of marketing and rich history. I want one - bot I know it flows.

I love these Doxa watches but their clasps can be better! I still went ahead and ordered this just different color as I cannot pull off orange. I have to edit my comment! So first let me get this straight? The Doxa shown in this video is a recreation of the original 1967 model? The one i purchased from their site is the 300T conquestedor without the helium valve but on the back it says 1969-2019! So am i right to say that this model in the video is a perfect recitation and the one I have is just a nod to the original? If so then where is the helium escape valve in both this one in video and mine? So the clasp on mind is the updated one from the 1500T with the nice adjustment.

I know this is an old post and I love your stuff, but that is not a 1:1 remake. Look at the picture of the original and then at your watch - the one you are holding shows the dive table in feet of seawater; the original (and current, non LE edition) has the bezel table in meters.

I had one of these a few years back, loved the watch, BUT, Doxa doesn't print the numbers on the bezel deep enough for the paint to stay in. You'll find over time, you'll get paint drop out of the numbers on the bezel which cheapens the look of the watch, hence why I ended up selling mine. If you google it or look on the Doxa discussion on watchuseek you'll see this, with tutorials of how to fill in the paint drop out. For a watch at this price range, that shouldn't be happening.

If you wanted to be honest: Safire dome - is bending light/view of the dial - that it makes the dial looks too small - not 1:1 recreation. Eta mechanism - now Selita? shame.... No helium valve.. No drilled lugs... Stampes divers extension - ok you mention it. Lume - not to diving standard.... All in alll - very poorly made watch - for too much money... and we still want it.

For roughly the same price (~$3,000), you could buy an Omega Seamaster with the co-axial movement(~$3,000), a Sinn U1 with hardened case and super unique look ($2100), a Damasko's DSub with hardened steel case ($2200), Oris Aquis Depth Gauge - which has a depth gauge! (~$2000)... to name a few.
