Work of a genius. I never realized that it was about Kashmir Conflict until my friend gave a presentation about it in Ramjas College and later told me how it could be connected to a youth in late 80's leaving his home at the dead of the night to get arms training in Pakistan, or to the exodus of pandits from Kashmir, their homeland ......

Bashir Dada, the poet of this song is a great actor as well. I can't forget his role of "poster man Jani mama Jani " in TV serial "Insaaf". His typical dialogues in that serial in broken Urdu of an illiterate posterman used to be the talk of those days. Blessed with so many inherent qualities, his talent was not exploited to the level it deserved. This song speaks of the depth of his thinking and imagination. Hail Bashir Dada.
