Tristan you're right. Greyhound has definitely went downhill. I know I was stuck at a Greyhound in Atlanta when they came over the speaker and said they didn't have any drivers for 2 buses with one being mine and informed the drivers quit. Yea probably because yall don't pay them enough to deal with what they deal with and your prices aren't low enough for us to deal with it either.

This happened to me recently when I rode Greyhound across several states. I got rerouted onto a longer, roundabout way to my destination and ended up stuck at a bottlenecked Greyhound station for 5 hrs. So many buses were delayed that day. We were packed like sardines in the station and it was hot and rainy. Felt like I was in a bus station in Honduras, not the United States. Plus, the ordeal strained my back. I was carrying the max allowance for baggage yet there were no luggage carts in the stations. Greyhound is a horrendous service now. Very sad.

Back in May, while going back to Las Vegas from Tucson, the last leg of my trip from L.A. to Las Vegas was cancelled, no refunds. I had to spend another 250 Dollars to take three more buses to get home, which included a 19 hour layover in Phoenix, it was 108 Degrees that day. Finally got home, a two day bus trip, turned into a three and a half days trip. Luckily I had plenty of emergency funds, just in case. I feel these travellers's pain.

I used to ride greyhound between Florida and Maine when I was in my late teens back in the 80's. I never understood why I had to go to Ohio to get to Maine. I never had travel hardships with Greyhound, however. Once during a layover in Cleveland I went just outside the door to the station to smoke a cigarette. While out there this black guy wearing a trenchcoat approached me. It was around Christmas time. He opened his trench coat and my eyes must have bugged right out of my head with suprise. Lined inside his coat were necklaces and watches and he was trying to sell me something. The shock in the whole thing was that I had only seen the trenchcoat salesmen in movies. I was suprised and amused that it wasn't just a movie thing. I didnt buy anything from him but I gave him $20 dollars and wished him a good holiday. Hindsight... I was naive to the evils of the worldbut it worked out in the end.
