Thanks for the video, appreciate the help you provide, I used to be a vol fireman in the mid 1970,s. It is difficult to explain in "laymen terms" what it's like to fight fires. Your videos provide valuable insight to help others not in the fire svc to understand the dedication required to do the job of a fireman. THANKS AGAIN !! STAY SAFE !!

That turf gets as dry as it is can smolder for ages, like the peat fires in Florida. And coal fires. Just smolder along and pop up anywhere at any time. You did good and I got a big chuckle about the gas can deal. You're getting to make up a little from freezing yourself now. Remain calm and have the best day you can have. A few years back a big fire was close to where we were working. Go home smelling like a BBQ every evening. GBWYall!

Takes weeks sometimes to get those underground stumps out... We have fires restart from two weeks to two months after the big ones here in Oz. Heartfelt sympathies to all involved in this over there - we know exactly what it's like...

The crews from New Jersey have been here all summer. Talked to a few at the Pancake breakfast 2nd wknd of July. That crew was just finishing their rotation.

Last video i told you lake county was in extreme fire warning. Welp, we currently on fire too now. We got that Greenwood lake fire and i think as of today it was 3,000 acres.

You did a great job. You do need to learn that you are doing no one any good by not taking care of yourself. First FLUIDS, next eat and always pee and watch the color for dehydration. Clear to pale straw is good. Orange means see a medic NOW!

@@davidhaley7053 This summer has been warmer and drier than normal for us here east of the twin Cities, too. But the farmer crops are doing quite well, it seems we get the rains at the rite times. Although, we have had a couple wind storms, that laid some trees down in areas.
