O.M.G! Amazingly huge pit, and to think that THAT D-11 and, oh, about ten operators ove the next two centuries are going to put twenty eight kids through college, pay for dozens of trips to exotic locales and burn up a few tanker (ship) loads of fuel. Such is the value of the many thousands (millions?) of tons of ore and thousands of tons of purified metals pulled out of this monstrosity. It helps me appreciate copper, and D-11s. Rock on, and thanks for posting this video.

45 yard³ with the 'standard Rock Blade I guess you could call it. 57.9 yard³ the 'Carry' Dozer Blade. 98 yard³ with a special Coal-U Blade. Coal is lighter that a lot of other rocks hence the larger blade and and larger 'carrying' side. This refers to the D11N. The D11T and R are slightly different.

Hi bennettshovel, You certainly would not want to make a misjudgement pushing over that plateau? Sure is a long ways down! Take care, and thanks for the video. mrbluenun
@jknalgon35495 жыл бұрын
Actually, the best practice is to leave about half a blade full on the edge. It's easily pushed off on the next pass, where half a load is left again. There is no loss of production, and safety is greatly improved.
