It's fascinating how these actors basically convince themselves that they are actually the person they are going to play in a movie. The preparation and work that they put in before a movie is really impressive.

I can no longer watch anything Bradley Cooper or Chris Kyle related on youtube. I am tired of people disrespecting who Kyle was and insulting him for his actions in the comments section. Every shot he took saved American Marines or Soldiers. War isn't a game, you don't go out and shoot random people. Only those who have a weapon and pose a threat. Why disrespect him if you know nothing about him? Read the book, see the movie.

Well Stated!

I really don't want to argue with you - everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I have no doubt he saved American lives and a lot of his fellow soldiers - that's his 'duty'. But you cannot deny that they take orders like any soldier. What happends when those orders become unsound? A Soldier does his duty, yes, and he probably saved more Americans lives than the amount of 'savages' he shot & killed. I read a lot and what disturbes me the most is that now everybody is so Quick to call him a Hero and the Most Deadly Sniper in History - without ever reading/knowing about people like Francis Pegahmagabow. Who delivered messages & ammo through very heavy enemy fire and was awarded a chest full of medals for among other things COURAGE UNDER FIRE. He had double the official kill count and he fought his war staring it in the face. (unlike old Chris here, who was miles away when he killed people) Take care !
@squatch5459 жыл бұрын
Why is it disrespectful to criticize a terrorist, psychopath and war criminal? American soldiers were illegally invading a sovereign country. Women and children were defending themselves against US terror. 10,000 unarmed civilians were killed in Fallujah alone. What kind of sick mind defends something like that?
@bigman554349 жыл бұрын
AKASales I suppose Chris Kyle was a war criminal in the eyes of the terrorists he killed. So be it. For the free world, him and everyone like him represent freedom from many things evil. He was a protector of life, even though he took lives to save lives. He did everything asked of him, and more. He was good at it. As a direct result of his actions, and the actions of his brothers in arms, an entire country now has more freedom than it ever had. It's too bad lives had to end for freedom to prevail.
@squatch5459 жыл бұрын
bigman55434 The sheer lunacy of your comment should be obvious to everyone. "A protector of life" and a "country has more freedom now than it ever did" is so bizarre, it could only be explained by being a result of heavy doses of LSD.

I think this 'statement/joke' at the end about the sequel carries no intentional disrespect at all. Cooper's response is very natural and I don't think his mood or attitude to DP changes after. The first time I watched it, I didn't even notice it, only after reading some pretty bigoted comments did I go back and see for myself. No problems here.

Not at all. He was pretty loose. I think he likes to be clear and would prefer to know exactly what I am asking rather than guess. We get on quite well, I think.. but it is interesting that some people - and this came up a lot on the first interview for Silver Linings - don't see it that way. He really couldn't be a nicer, more willing guest.
@cracklingcharles10 жыл бұрын
Yea maybe his passion comes across as impatient. He does seem humble and genuine; which is refreshing as a lot of actors are a little controlled in the answers. Amy Adams is one of my favourite interviewees. She's excellent. Think she's an amazing actress with an amazing presence.

I think it SEEMED, I cant say for sure but exactly like DP said. Seems like an extremely laid back kind of guy that just wants to be clear about what you're asking and of his responses. He's a really interesting person from what I've seen. I think it's really respectable for him to be so honest and even say "Im not sure what you mean, or what you're asking". Seems like a lot of people in his situation probably just put on the fake smile and try to fly through the interview without taking the time to say what they're really thinking in fear of having to talk about it more.

I don't understand why someone would make a movie like this. Especially with Clint Eastwood, who campaigned for Mitt "double Guantanamo" Romney. Was the Iraq war not enough of a massive clusterfuck to have actually something to say about it? What kind of message are you sending about the ppl who died, and this guy, who was killed by a man with a gun? Why does this all have to come from the perspective of "war is great, and guns are even better"? I mean, the vote of ppl like Eastwood is what made those wars possible, and why we have guns in the hands of everyone even ppl with mental issues... Can't somebody tell this story who isn't directly responsible for the tragedy in it? It just seems like rubbing salt in the wound. It's all one big party for murder.
