You probably have a memory of James Keach as an actor. You surely have seen some of his work as a writer or director. But you may not know him as a documentarian until now. The final tour of Glen Campbell after his Alzheimer's diagnosis is a celebration of a life and a sad look at the frailty of human beings. Keach talked about the film and a life in film and TV.
Shot in Los Angeles, November 2014

Thank you James. "I'll Be Me" is a true work of art. Every emotion you can think of is in your film. As a kid who had a black and white tv with only 2 channels, my family watched Glen's show. Sometimes his dad would play with him. That was always a treat. I remember they played identical guitars.

Truly great interview of Mr Keach (& others) who...along with full support of Glen Campbell, after he knew he had Alsheimers...aas they did all the concerts, Glen's talks and interviews, just so much work re Alheismers, etc...and done intensely by Glen, Kim, his kids and entertainers who loved and were mesmerised by Glens person...this great Christian with the God given, near unbelievable talent with his guitar, that great affability he had the , goodness in him and and all he was, the man. I would have loved to be his friend for life. He is my favorite singer, musician and entertainer ever. I listen to him always. AND I miss him so very much...and oh! that film and the songs Glen sang about not going to know or caree because his mind was going, and gone. Heartbreaking, bitter sweet how he gave his end of life to shoe, educate, unashamedly, the illness he had.

"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." Kahlil Gibran quote, easily applied to Mr. Keach, of whom I have the utmost respect. Ditto Glen, RIP... and to all who've looked up and within during life's... unpleasantries.

James and his brother Stacey were great in 'The Long Riders'. Can always remember seeing it as a kid during the 80's. Great western!

I couldn't think of a better director/co-producer on this than James Keach. I only thought of him as an actor until I'd read his name in credits (I read them all.). "The Long Riders" is one of the great westerns ever done, with perfect actors for it; they're not a gimmick. This documentary must be terrific.

ironic that so much joking/denial of age is going on, when the subject itself is so very age related. Shows we still have so very far to go and that it's stigma is not just with women....as is more stereotypically known. Let's learn! Otherwise, I really enjoyed this interview and I'll just mention, James Keach looks great. Can hardly wait to see the film.
