This movie was the best I've seen since Inception (not counting drama). And that kid was AMAZING. Fantastic casting.

Thanks for posting, there is FAR too little LOOPER extras avail. Looper is an absolutely incredible SciFi Noir flick. Beginning to end its perfect.

I like the thing that Rian Johnson says that he wanted the movie to be a ride not an intricated thing, and watching it with the feeling you're solving puzzles.. And he's right, I loved how well the story went and I didn't feel all confused as when I watched The Dark Knight Rises, which sucked because it was too messy and with too many characters in the it. So Looper had it all, great cast, flawless story, great acting and the way this film was directed was just so damn awesome..

As a filmmaker myself these interviews are so interesting and inspiring. To hear a major director say that the struggles of making a feature film defined his 20s (as someone in my 20s) is a huge motivation. But seriously -- shoot two cameras if you want singles! :D

That's true, and totally your opinion...Although personally, I felt something was missing when I was watching this film..It was definately an entertaining film but in terms of the story arch, i can't explain why, but somewhere along the film something went dry..I think maybe I just expected too much out of it.

They keep telling during the movie that time travel is complicated, tricky, fries your brain.. So that's all you need to know; ofcourse there are flaws regarding the time travel, we still don't know much about it.. The main thing I meant to say is that this is a light movie but at the same time has powerful content, meanwhile Nolan's TDKR is too damn intricated.. Every Nolan's film has to be watched 2 or more times to fully understand them..

I dont want Jospeh Gordon Levitt in starwars ep8! Abrams did that with Pegg but he atleast had the decency to cover him up in alien prosthetic get up. If Pegg has to be in this movie, make him a cgi Ratakan.
@SuperMovieLvr933
@SuperMovieLvr933 7 жыл бұрын
Decency? Whats wrong with a cameo?
@RaikenXion
@RaikenXion 7 жыл бұрын
Yishai Thau Nothing, AS LONG AS the director uses good prosthetic to cover up that actor. Starwars is unqiue in that its purely about the characters, and the worlds. If they go casting huge actors in particular roiles, they will always distract away from the main characters. Also having big-name actors in main roles in a Starwars movie, affects the fans/audience cause then they are more focused on the particular actor, than the actual "character" they are playing. Big name actors can help imemsly dont get me wrong, ONLY! when they are cast in support roles, smaller co-starring roles. Sam Jackson as Mace, Cushing and Guiness as Tarkin and Obi Wan. Same with out latest established A-List actors, Mendelson, Whitaker and Donnie Yen in their awesome roles in Rogue One. Fans were not saying their names but actually remembering them for their "characters". That is most important. If someone like Gordon Levit (hes a decent actor) was cast in episode 8, just wouldnt work cause him being close to Nolan, has worked with him on a few of his movies, that then becomes too cynical because it is only then about the fact that director just wants him in Starwars, just for the sake of it, or as a favor to him personally. NOT becausev the director thinks that particular actor can bring something good to a role in that movie. This is why its most important to have the actor, IF he is doing a cameo, covered up, so he is not recognizable. Just like they did with Daniel Craig and Simon (idiot/cynical) Pegg. Starwars doesnt belong to any of the directors, they are only borrowing it, it belongs to the fans. (not even Disney cause they were not there from the begining and they dont love it like, the fans).

Looper was stupid. Instead of having an elaborate organization back in time, just dump the victim into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Never find the body. Can even send the poor sob back a few years if they want to. Still no body. Cheaper, too.
@mrbanditoxyz
@mrbanditoxyz 6 жыл бұрын
I watched it. I payed attention. If they could send the sob to a cornfield, they could have dumped him, plus rocks, in the middle of the pacific - no body. Dump the SOB at any point in time they wanted to - no body no need for the elaborate org in the past - cheap, nobody for the popo to bust - clean, easy. Refute me on the plot points I pointed out.

Show that was an issue in the plot. I don't remember if it was or not (saw it years ago when it first came out.) I do remember they never had that problem.
@mrbanditoxyz

but they *never* handled the case - They show up in the cornfield, the sob appears, they shoot him. done. deal with the real plot and its holes.

Could someone please explain to me why Looper is a good movie? It's right up there with 'The Wicker Man' as one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The only aspects of the film I liked was the CGI and the film's aesthetic appeal. The storyline was as ridiculous as the one in Inception and the acting & dialogue was as cheesy as in Avatar. JGL is alright, i like him as a person but he's overrated by the masses.
