He talks so tenderly about Jill Clayburgh and Alan Bates... Wish I had known these people. Love this entire "An Unmarried Woman" cast and hope Clayburgh, Mazursky, Bates and Gorman all resting in piece ♡

I feel the same way about "An Unmarried Woman" and it's cast. After all these years, I still remember the great scenes of Jill Clayburgh and her female friends and her daughter. I still feel "Unmarried" was robbed of the Best Picture Oscar instead of "The Deer Hunter." Perhaps the Oscar people thought they couldn't give the Oscar to two straight "New York" pictures ("Annie Hall" had won in 1977), but "An Unmarried Woman" is one of those rare movies which gives insight into the strength of women.
