i am a former army ranger and had never shed a tear until i saw this powerfully, melancholy film...of a mother who was punished twice for euthanizing her terminally ill son......once by self flaggelation and then by the law cried through out the whole thing... she is utter pefection....

Thanks for this interview, with my favorit actress.She's not only very beautifull,also to her age nowadays, but still very sensitive, natural,young hearted and intelligent. Prince already discovered her,during the production of his film,Under the Cherry Moon.She was casted for a small sub role,but than asked for the main character and she did this wonderful.I think Prince liked her very much,as woman and artist,but his mind was in the way,to become a couple,sadly.

I love this interview very casual and no pretensions. Shes not into showbiz thing of too much publicity to promote the film. But she is actually a good actress

Anyone who hasn't discovered French cinema is sincerely missing out on great work, in general, but I've Loved You So Long is one of the best films I've ever seen. (I also love Tell No One, which KST also mentions.) This interview is fantastic, probably the best I've seen with her.

If you haven't seen this film, do so. I believe it is one you can stream on netflix. If not streaming, rent the cd. It is incredible, almost painfully powerful.

After hearing just a small part of this story, I don't know if I could watch the film; it's hard to get in the US. But she is excellent, I've always loved her acting and she's just so naturally beautiful and down to earth. Lovely to see in someone so successful; glad that she wasn't having to continually be in Hollywood, that would have ruined it; she's much better than that. (from Sandi)
