What about “Youth”?

In my opinion, he's a pure genius and one of the most progressive directors in the last years. Modest, smart and precise. Having known him since decent "L'Uomo in più" and it's clearly seen, that this guy has got a vision and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges…and focus on improving himself. Masterpieces such as "Le Conseguenze dell'amore", "Il Divo" or "La Grande Bellezza" i can watch over and over and still haven't got tired. I do like "This must be the place" too, but it's different and (in terms of filmmaking style) more unpredictable than i expected. Hope that new project with Michael Caine "In the Future" works out smoothly and fans of this truly amazing artist will be happy again. Keep it going Paolo. Best Regards from Slovakia.

Thanks for sharing this video. However, I wished that the questions were more substantial, more about the content of this film. Also, being aware of the fact that Mr. Sorrentino isn’t 100% fully fluent in English, though he speaks quite understandably and intelligently, why didn’t Mr. Interviewer try to speak more slowly, trying to make his questions more easily understandable to Mr. Sorrentino?

Yes, horrible interviewer. Par for the course with brilliant subject matter...

As a German it is really nice to have an interview with Paolo that is in English. Although he seems to be a little reluctant to speak much, but I suppose that comes with the language barrier. Glad to see the way you are trying to comfort him and that you are doing such an interview despite of the barrier!

Great interview! Been meaning to see this, but it's not playing anywhere in Michigan at the moment. Thanks for doing what you do!

I’m normally against sequels, but I would love to see the return of Jep Gambardella and Paolo.

The interviewer needs to be more concise with his questions, they're a bit long winded when he could phrase it in just a few words. This will give more time for answers to your questions.

I don't this Sorrentino is even aware of his genius. very poor interview and terrible translation too. Does not make justice to the film
@teaber11 жыл бұрын
I guess I can understand that Sorrentino does not speak great English. But the interpreter?!? I am Italian and am appalled at the poor quality of the translation. I really hope they prepare a bit better if they, as I hope, win at the Oscars as well...
