They didn’t introduce it earlier because it tromps all over the model hierarchy of the 911 as the flagship. Also, with PSE off, there is no perceptible engine noise at highway cruising. It’s all wind and tires, just like any other convertible.

Don't count out the combustion power yet... Sounds like they'll stretch its lifespan a bit longer due to the drop in EV sales. The Cayman is comparable to it 911 Big Brother

Redline is 8900, but power is falling rapidly past 8200. I find highway cruising to be noisy but not due to engine if not tipping into throttle. This is a short trip spirited drive car, should be your 2nd car at minimum. Intake sound is artificial but lovely, exhaust is unrefined, but that’s easy enough to fix. Is this better than a Ferrari 458 spyder? That’s the question I’m asking myself…….

I disagree (respectfully) … the RS will hold its value. It will appreciate in value at least with the rate of inflation. Resale value on many other sports/luxury cars sink like a rock.
