i am facing it at less than 1000 kms... its pity in developing country where government tries to pose as advanced nation ( by putting BS6 norms...NOT ENFORCING) but as the same time alongside law abiding citizens ' ek Vikram ya jugaad wala is running his 25 years old vehicle.... yes we BS6 compliant people are paying price emotionally and economy wise....pity

This DPF problem occurred in my new i20 also. It was run thrice a week for 110kms daily at a speed of 60 to 70 kmph. After a month of traveling, when I completed 2200kms this DPF symbol appeared on my instrument cluster. DPF regeneration is not a very big headache to be worried much unless you neglect it for a long time. As soon as your car's MID shows.... "DPF regeneration required, see owners manual".....Drive for some 20 to 25 kms at 3rd gear at a speed above 60kmph. Then if the DPF indicator is still on in the instrument cluster, then just park your car in a open space, turn on the engine and switch on the headlight at high beam and turn on the A/C at full blower speed and open the bonnet. Then just select self regeneration on the MID, by pressing the Ok button or the dedicated DPF button,( if you don't have both, then turn on and off the key continuously for 5 times and switch on the car). Keep the car running for 30 min and the regeneration process will be completed and your problem will be solved. My car took 27 min to self regenerate.

We faced the same in our Toyota Innova which was purchased in November of 2021. It has occurred about 7-8 times and the car is currently in the Service centre. It has become a huge headache for us and caused a great deal of depression in the household as my father worked very hard to buy his dream car. Showroom walon ne bhi nahi bataya before purchasing, otherwise we'd have gone for the petrol model. Bohut bara problem ho gaya hai as we haven't received any solution as of yet.

Hi Gogoi Da. What is the current status of your car? Actually we have bought the same car as yours and after 6 months- 2,700 kms later, the dpf issue popped up (dpf full please visit showroom). We went to the showroom 2 days ago and got it resolved. Really worried if the same thing will happen again. Furhter, how frequently do you use your car?. Ours we rarely use it, maybe this is the reason for the same.

Bought HYUNDAI VENUE car and in 6 months it stopped in the middle of nowhere. The company said we will have to regenerate the car every 4th day, they call this regeneration process 'TECHNOLOGY'. Hyundai Venue BS6 diesel model has failed. Regeneration process is not at all practical. Hyundai should stop selling BS6 DIESEL MODEL.

This is not only the problem of venue I have XUV 300 W8 DIESEL. WHAT I FOUND IS ENGINE above 2.0 ltr are having options of Add blue mixture which is separately given in the car are not having such problems. But engines below 2.0 ltr specially 1.5 ltr bs6 diesel engines does not have such options which means you only have two options for regeneration either you run your car on 60kmph for 30 minutes which is quite a tough part. And another option is parking regeneration which is quite a gimmick thing cause I have done parking regeneration for almost 5 time and 4 time it's unsuccessful for no reason😂 and I have to clear the DPF through service centers.

DPF filter works with certain temperature. To obtain that temperature we need long trips. If you have city bumper to bumper journey & no long drives, there may be the chance of DPF filter issue because of insufficient temperature.

Sir I hv purchased tata harrier, and I hv driven it 4.2k on odo (60 kmph 85% and 80kmph 15%) on highway and in I hv never faced dpf issue and I have never crossed 80kmph that is 80kmph only 15 % max 85% on 60kmph

@@satishkumark2215 I finally sold my car recently bcz for regeneration I had to drive car to dealership after 15 or 20 days to clean DPF. My advice is don't buy BD6 Disel car I had buyed Hyundai Venue Disel car @9.50 laks and sold it recently @7.50 only after one and half years. All BS6 Disel cars have this manufacturing defect bcz initialy Hyundai will do it free then after 2-years you have to pay for DPF cleaning....
